he's really a player capable of amazing things but the problem is that he had problems with the old coach... the goal he scored against Standard tonight is a very typical Marica goal

some suggestions:

Defence: he goes awol in some games but he's very good in fighting for the ball... considering that he has low mentality he won't go barging at players but WHEN hes in a combat, he's very good... I'd suggest high 40s

Balance: I think he proved numerous times that he's someone whos very hard to push away... Materazzi, Lucio and the likes will probably agree with me there... just put Marica into your youtube thingy and check out the goals he scored... in most scenes you will see him beat a defender on a physical level...

plus I think hes much stronger than D.Niculae and such... I think 82 would be alright, I think Dani Alves couldnt beat him in a physical level but given size it might still be good

speed... he's incredibly explose and one of the quickest players in the BuLi... I think TS 86 and Acc 90 would be fair for him... he doesn't make too many runs but how many times do you see someone chasing him down?

Dribble Speed.... should be 85, he is quick WITH the ball

LPA and LPS... should be low-mid 70s, he played as sidemidfielder, even for the VFB, he CAN cross

ST: most of his goals come from weird angles and under pressure... his main specialty... 81 doesnt reflect it... I suggest 85

FK and Curling can go down, he doesn't put any swerve into his shots... 60s for both

header: I dont know how good he is with it... he never scored a difficult header I think

technique: his 1st touch is really good... 83-84

Team work: he struggles to connect with teammembers at VFB but he does well for Romania's NT.. hard to rate

lol I'm mainly concerned with romanian players and ones that played in Liga1... the rest is just a coincidence since i try to have a base to compare them with

I can't say anything about him.

I use Red's stats and therefore I didn't watched him closely. Simple as that.

I don't think that Red's stats are bad but at the same time I don't think he knows Marica better than I do and I suggested the new stats after comparing him to the rest of the romanian strikers we have

considering the amount he plays he gets injured very easily... we need to observe this but he might be a C candidate

08/09 11.01.2009 Ende Jan. 2009 Muskelfaserriss
08/09 15.10.2008 21.10.2008 Bluterguss
08/09 09.09.2008 21.09.2008 Oberschenkelprobleme
08/09 11.06.2008 14.06.2008 Gehirnerschütterung

that's 4 injuries in 6 months...

Doubtfull 82 for stamina - he didnt play a whole game for Stuttgart this season. And a condition 6 ? Should be lower, at least 5.
ST 85 ? Nice moves but is he really worth 85 ? Imo, he is worth only 83 like Kevin Kuranyi. Alexander Frei has 85 also and Marica is under that for sure.
His TS and SA needs a little raise. His is slower then Miloš Krasić, but just...
Imo TS 87 SA 91.

regarding stamina... 82 is a shaky value but he played many 90 minute games for the romanian NT and his lack of minutes at VFB is usually due to tactical reasons.

condition could be probably put back to 5 though, I agree

he's got 85 for ST because of his ability to shoot under pressure... he can still deliver a good shot even if he's being pressured by 1 or 2 defenders and that's probably his best asset.

regarding speed... lately I haven't seen enough of him to suggest a raise and his current speed stats aren't bad either ;)

I saw 4 BuLi Sttutgart games :
vs Bayern Munchen (2:2) where he barely egzisted on a field... he played only for half an hour and managed to receive only 2 balls.
vs Hoffenheim (3:3) where he entered in 82nd minute
vs Werder Bremen (4-0 defeat) where he was subbed after 68mins, almost no effect on goal...
vs Hamburg (1-0 won) where he was subbed at the beginning of 2nd half and later Gomez scored after 90+3 mins.
Those were top 4 teams, includind Sttutgart and his performances were under merit, so I based my remarks on that.
This year he scored vs Gladbach twice and vs Koeln + assist vs Cottbus and Karlsruhe.

its true... Marica doesn't do much at the VFB in the BuLi but in Europe he scored for them and for the romanian NT he scores regularly as well... the problem is in VFB's style that doesn't suit him and he doesn't have the guts to fight for his position, hence the low mentality value. But if you watch the goals he did score you'll notice that he created most of the chances himself or did score out of tricky situations where most strikers would fail

ok, I drop Condition then. I would also like to delete WF and SMF or does he play any of these positions in Romanian NT?

I also would decrease his Balance to 80. He's not so strong and lost to much duels at the moment.

And his ST should be lower, 85 is really to high. I think 82 would suits him. ;)
