He is almost one of the best CBs in the Bundesliga since two years. Really very good positional play. sometimes he close the gaps who left by mohamad. responded magnificently. stands in the rooms and is close to the man quickly impressive performances. Without him, Cologne would be even deeper in the mire than they already are anyway.

why that?
1.) His defensive Positioning in heading is just poor, only 55% of won Headers is for a CB just weak and a result of his Positioning.
2.) 61% of won direct duels on the Ground is average, nothing more, for example: Per Mertesacker in a average Season so far, won 70% on the Ground and 75% in the Air.
On my Point of view is Geromels archievement average and legitimates surely not a 84.
Maybe something to discuss?
A good indicator for his partially poor Positioning was the wrong timing when he was initiating a offside trap against Wolfsburg yesterday.

Well, i have kept my eye on him and this is what i can say:

-DEF/RES: He doesn't have a good positional sense, losses position very often that's is one of many reasons why 1.Köln conceded too many goals this season. In the games i have watched Sereno save his ass plenty of times and he is rated at DEF 80 RES 81, also is true that Geromel plays more the role of intercept passes and Sereno stay in area that is why this event occurs. I think Geromel deserves 80/81 DEF and 82 RES. Considering Sereno 81 DEF.

-AGI: I found correctly. He is one of the agilest defenders at 1.Bundesliga.

-HEA/JUMP: Found his header overrated, he uses mostly to keep the ball away but not using any accurateness or technique on it, they are poor, about his leap i think is fine with current value. So, i will go for HEA 81 & 82 JUM.

-TW: A lower value is needed. He loses position often and doesn't keep any order. I think he can have a 76.

Very poor debut after he entered when Nunes was red carded. Seemed good at first but then started to commit childish mistakes. Btw how did the deal finally work? Was It a purchase from Köln or was It a purchase by Atlético and loan to Mallorca? I'm a bit lost, I've heard everything.

From what i saw of him in Köln he is overrated as hell. DEF 80 max with green response. Also, needs lower white value in TW 70-71. He lost position very often and cant keep order. Also, his agility can be decreased a bit due new standards. Mentality can sit at mid whites for me. I keep my previous values for HEA and JUM from my previous post. Finally, CON 8 is just a joke, he doesnt deserves more than 5. Dont know clearly the deal but one of those teams seems cheated...

Perhaps I was wrong. Besides those mistakes on his debut his match was overall correct, and yesterday he was really good even though Mallorca lost. Showed some nice ball playing, doesn't seem unskilled with his feet.

He has a good leap. Other than that, really mediocre defender. DEF is nowhere near yellows. He's shitting on his pants every time Martins gets within 10 yards near him.
