watched him vs Catania, passing seemed pinpoint and well paced. Defensively was so-so, I would put it down to his response rather than positioning. Perhaps switch attack and defense values. LPA was difficult to rate, he could nice chips over to Pazzini into space but his crosses were very poor. Looked energetic and lively in midfield. uncerstanding with Palombo is slowly getting there.

From what I saw in that match of him so far(taking my time because its my only downloaded game)....he seems massively underrated in the 1st post. I am taking deligent notes on him, as he likely will need a total overhaul as the season progresses if he continues to get playing time.

I also see him improved but dunno exactly the areas we should change.Its normal for him to improve as he play on a regular basis and he will find himself.My first thoughts are,as proposed, to swap his DEF-ATT and maybe his TW as he works with Palombo so far.
Of course we need more matches in order to judge him better...

*Fernando Tissone - *CMF 12 Tissone - not bad on ball/give and go attempt with semioli/tried a killer LP/came up to defend in attack and nip at the ball/nice LF though LP/seems to get ball away from feet quickly/maybe passing star...another nice RF med ranged through pass/good TW/clos to 80 in Dribbling/nice RF 1 touch through pass to cassano/quality defensive interception/I'm thinking LPA is better than LPS/good give and go attack through middle/definitely good TW and not bad att:def ratio/did have a mistimed play resulting in missing the ball and a foul/strong and accurate spass/a really effective attack run from deep/not lazy, or lacking stamina/

You may have been a bit conservative in some areas...but we'll need to watch him more to get these totally accurate IMO

Long Pass Accuracy: 79(I'm thinking LPA is better than LPS/)

also Samp official site puts him at 182 cms 75 kgs.

I think Palombo is stronger than his current stats, and stronger than Tissone. I'll change Tissone's weight.

no one catch Seedorf bounce off him during a tussle in midfield. I always figured Palombo was solid on the ball, not strong.

is he really more of a CMF than a DMF? Contrast with Palombo. To me he looks short on ideas going forward, passing the ball before dropping deep. LPA and LPS I was being conservative but he seems to launch it rather than direct it with curl. About BB, he reminds me quite a bit of Dabo in midfield (84 kg; BB @ 85), quite sturdy with a solid midfield presence.

He is definitely a DMF, a deep lying man who focuses on defending and setting up counter attacks. Through the last two seasons he has slowly developed, becoming more solid and reliable; these are my suggestions:

Defence: 73 (conti,milanetto)
Long Pass Accuracy: 78 (brocchi,asamoah)
Curling: 76 (dessena,brighi)
Header: 69 (almiron,sneijder)
Technique: 78 (morrone,pazienza)
Aggression: 72 (donadel,migliaccio)

Yes, kinda. This is one of the reason why Sampdoria score few goals: both Tissone and Palombo lie deep in the midfield and seldom follow the action entering the box.

Maube 69-74 suits him better.Very reliable defensively but he doesn't play as an anchor man.He is just a solid DMF with no runs infront but with good passing.Don't forget that last year he had the same role and the team finished 4th..
