GK: Júlio César
RB: Maicon
RCB: Lúcio
LCB: Chivu
LB: Zanetti ©
DMF: Cambiasso
RCM: Stanković
LCM: Thiago Motta
AM: Sneijder
RCF: Milito
LCF: Eto'o

I think this is more right now. Chivu is mostly over Samuel and Zanetti often plays as a left-back.

2 games and you already know this? Chivu doesn't start over a fully fit Samuel or Cordoba.

Hmm, Samuel, maybe, but Cordoba must be a joke. I like him, but Cordoba is only back-up. Chivu, Lucio & Samuel are over him.

:o can't believe what i'm hearing... this the same Chivu was assigned to man-mark T. Rocchi in vs Lazio in the Coppa? man has an attention span of a goldfish (note he doesn't have marking*). Cordoba is just unlucky with his height and weight and disadvantage, otherwise he monster defender.

now for the formation, I suggest we give Eto'o and Milito forward (up) and outside (right for Milito, and left for Eto'o) to represent their off the ball movement. I'm not certain JZ will be LB for long (he wasn't vs Milan) especially with both Santon and Chivu available. Its impossible to figure out the midfield with Cambiasso out for 4/5 months. And seeing how Mou throw on Sneijder immediately after he signed with us, I'm certain he should start in place of Stanko. And I guess bench Muntari, put Motta in LCMF, Stanko/Zanetti in RCMF, Cambiasso/Stanko in DMF, and Chivu/Zanetti at LSB. its the best we can do for now.

Santon played at the leftback position today, and midfield: Viera-Motta-Zanetti-Sneijder does anybody knows who played where?

Vieira was on the right and big Z was on the left. They switched positions during the match tho.

You also have to consider that Stanko was out with the flu in todays match and that Cuchu is injured.

So Motta was on the DMF position? cause he usually plays on the right

Well they all switched positions tbh. But Vieira was the one who started as a DMF.

Is there no room for Quaresma or Mancini?

Here is the breakdown of all of Inters matches, and who started where(according to football line-ups so tell me if I'm mistaken):
GK: Júlio César(10)
RB: Maicon(9) // Zanetti(1)
RCB: Lúcio(7) // Materazzi(1) // Samuel(1) // Cordoba(1)
LCB: Wálter Samuel(7) // Lucio(3)
LB: Javier Zanetti ©(1) // Cristian Chivu(6) // Santon(3)
DMF: Esteban Cambiasso(6) // Viera(2) // Stankovic(1) // Zanetti(1)
RCM: Dejan Stanković(2) // Javier Zanetti(5) // Muntari(1) // Viera(1) // Motta(1)
LCM: Thiago Motta(3) // Stankovic(2) // Zanetti(2) // Muntari(3)
AM: Wesley Sneijder(7) // Stankovic(2) // Balotelli(2WF) // Mancini(1WF)
RCF: Diego Milito(8)
LCF: Samuel Eto'o(9) // Balotelli(1)

So I think it should look like:
GK: Júlio César
RB: Maicon
RCB: Lúcio
LCB: Wálter Samuel
LB: Cristian Chivu // Davide Santon
DMF: Esteban Cambiasso
RCM: Javier Zanetti© // Dejan Stanković
LCM: Thiago Motta // Sulley Muntari
AM: Wesley Sneijder // Dejan Stanković
RCF: Diego Milito
LCF: Samuel Eto'o

I know Dejan has played a ton, but I think the fact that him and Zanetti can back-up almost every position generally makes them the 1st replacement option. But if everyone was healthy I think he'd be the odd man out.

jason your formation is good. Stankovic is a backup (and what a backup! :D ) so because of Cambiasso and Motta injuries he played as starter. He can play everywhere: as someone say in South America, he's a todocampista :)

Stankovic backup? Are you guys kidding me? He's one of our best players this season so far, he will definitely play, even if all players are fit. I think Zanetti will go in the left-back position, and Motta-Cambiasso-Stankovic will play in midfield, Sneijder as a trequartista, if all are fit.

I think the line up should be:

GK: Julio Cesar
RB: Maicon
RCB: Lucio
LCB: Samuel
LB: Chivu / Zanetti
DMF: Cambiasso
RCM: Stankovic
LCM: Thiago Motta
AMF: Sneijder
RCF: Diego Milito
LCF: Samuel Eto'o

But against Genoa, the 4-3-2-1 looked good. Considering that Eto'o is not at his best yet, maybe we should play it more often.
