Bruno Alves

Bruno Eduardo Regufe Alves (born 27 November 1981) is a Portuguese football (soccer) player that plays as a central defender. He currently plays for FC Porto. He was best known for viciously delivering a headbutt into Nuno Gomes's face in the 2005-2006 FC Porto-Benfica for wich he received a red card. Known to be a violent player Bruno Alves became a more calm and concentrated player which surely helped him to show his true value to the team. Strong, tall, and almost invincible in the air, Alves gained a place to Ricardo Costa and João Paulo in FC Porto starting eleven this season and it seems very difficult for anyone to take it from him.

Bruno's qualities are mostly aerial, he positions himself well in the area but he isn't a good tackler. He's a bit like Luisão or Materazzi, a big and strong guy in the box that doesn't come out to tackle like Pepe, partly because he isn't fast or agile and also because he's not the best when reading the game. He's the kind of player that can thrive in a league were his main job is clearing crosses and disturb strong forwards. In a league that is more technical, full of fast and skilled players he might not be so good because clean tackling, speed or team play are not his strong points.

Having said this i think his defence could be lowered to 85/84, response to 80/81, and TW to 80 or lower. Let's never forget he's the most powerful defender in this forum when it comes to jump, and he's already a tall guy. DA could be raised to 72, although he isn't a skilled CB he's above average, especially for a guy his size, and ST needs to come down, i know by experience that it's too easy to score volleys with him when he goes up due to his Extra attacker card. His SPS could also be raised, he can hit his passes with excellent pace on a consistent basis, but generally he just passes sideways so accuracy doesn't need to be so high.

Covering should also be removed as it makes him drift to the sides to cover for the SB's too often, while irl he usually stands near the box and waits for the opposition instead of going towards his opponent and tackle.

i think we can put one more position CF and 70 attack

He played as a CF* vs Chelsea but there's something in the tactic that is called CB on attack so we don´t need to give him that position. And 70 attack would put him in one of the best offensinve CBs ever

About SB, if he ever played there, was in his days at Farense or Guimarães, now he shureley doesn't deserve it.

Like i said previously, he played there a few times, but it was so long ago, tht now he simply doesn't deserve it.

I suggest lowering his defense 1 or 2 points. And his agility isn't too low? 73 is a very poor value. His TW. is too high. too. I suggest 80 for his TW.
