Young Teal Bunbury was drafted in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft and joined Sporting Kansas City, after playing in college for Akron and signing a Generation Adidas contract. Bunbury is a strong, tall centre forward that can also feature on the wings, having rather deceptive pace on him for such a tall lad.
Teal is the first ever son of a former MLS player to be drafted, Alex Bunbury (former Kansas City striker and Canadian international) being the youngster's father. Despite being born in Ontario, Canada, the striker has represented the United States in a friendly against Chile.
