Good move from AC Milan. Cover the defense for a year, take that Montpelier CB for free next season.

He was shaky and error-prone at the beginning when he was inserted to be a regular in the team in mid-January. Allegri's faith in him paid off and his performances started to improve notably, since the match against Juventus (he played an excellent game there) he has been playing well and created a good centre-back partnership with Mexès.

Milan, bought Zapata's rights from Villareal. He has a contract to 2016.
