in my opinion his greatness is over.
With this, i meant that he's STILL one of the best keepers(probably still top three in a good form)
The biggest thing is,he's not unbeatable anymore.
He needs a completely overhaul,the alien is back to earth.
Basically needs lowering in a lot of stats,in my opinion he do not deserves anymore a skill in god region.

Balance: 88 (ladder placement)
Response: 93( i currently put Frey over him.yes i am a viola fan and i think i am objective in sayin this.)

Mentality(one of his BIGGEST losses imo):78-79 (anyway under Julio Cesar)
Gk Skills:94
Aggression:59[+1] (seeing the ladder he can come up a point)

agree with everything except GK skills and Defence and mentality a little harsh especially since he just recovered from long injury.

when playing for italy, his defence was the one letting him down.

sure i haven't seen any real mistake having reference to a decline of his skills, i've just seen a lack of fitness due to his "backache"..
i don't trust reporters, newspaper and TV that a day pump up a player saying that he's the best of the world, and the day after there are pumping another one and the rest is basically shit..

keeping buffon in this way is absolutely wrong.surely his mentality is not like before,his head gone down sometimes this year a bit of times after conceding. also i really think that his GK skills actually can come down....right now he punches some balls that before this year he would blocked instead.and this happens,i've seen him a bunch of times excuse himself with his defense for not having blocked a ball.
what means the lack of fitness? if he's on the pitch surely he can play,and if he play in this way he should be rated subsequently.with these stats the gap with others good keepers is too much.

that horrible keeper mistakes your talking about was about 4 games at the most , his consistency can go down which is already down and I partly agree with you about it

Cech was poor overall ? He has made a hell lot of mistakes but he can still produce some super saves. Do you think that Chelsea's impressive defensive record last season was just a mere coincidence ? I know that part of that was because of a steel defence but Cech really was impressive despite all the mistake he made, but we all agree that he is not at the level he had in 2004/2005 season, so we decrease him. The same deal for Buffon, I know that Juve's defence's suck, but that doesn't mean Buffon is still good. He has lost many times in 1-v-1 situation and his reflexes has decrease a lot. Most importantly he's not consistent anymore, one day he can be a God between the post but another day he looks like a clown.

I see a decrease in those stats is need, most importantly his Response and Consistency. He is slower in reaction, trying to turn his body to make a save, in 1v1 situation he usually react slower than before when the player take a shot. I want a decrease but 93 is still a little bit high for me, I think even 91 or 92 would be fair.

His consistency, even you agree that he is not that consistent, I suggest a decrease to 6 for Buffon.

I think we need more discussion about his Defence, GK Skills, Agility and TW. I want to decrease some of them but I don't have any reason and value in my mind yet.

no raising but no lowering, no one see him as the old CLASSIC Buffon, but he's slightly improved than last season, i wish he improves more this season to be the NO.1 GK again

I agree with Azzurri, Buffon seems to be improving, I hope so, he also had an awesome performance against Roma, the 1 on 1 vs Totti.
