Spoiler: show
This world-class left-back looked a fish out of water shortly after signing in at Manchester United from Monaco in the autumn of 2006, but he quickly conquered his Anglophone demons and now needs no lessons from anyone. Adventure and dynamism personified, he has the engine to dominate his flank from first minute to last. The son of a diplomat from Guinea, he was born in Senegal. After his father was posted to France, the young 'Pat' was brought up in the suburbs of Paris, where got to know a certain Thierry Henry. On failing to make the grade at Paris Saint-Germain, the teenage Evra went into exile in Italy at lower league Marsala and Monza, then returned to France to star for Nice and Monaco. Evra was an out-and-out attacker in his formative years and only became a left-back when a spate of injuries forced Nice coach Sandro Salvioni to use him in that more reserved role. He has not looked back since and played in ten of Les Bleus' 2010 World Cup qualifiers.

I absolutely agree, while he lost lots of pace he didn't lose his speed on the ball and his good leap.

85 for DS and Jump.

Aren't you guys a bit too harsh on his speed stats? Sure he was destroyed by Lennon, but he also looked like he ran with a slight injury. Around the same time he also struggled against Mackie. However, lately he clearly outpaced Odemwingie (acc 86 ts 85) and Mackie had no chance. He also recently more or less destroyed Duff for pace (acc 85 ts 84). This tells me that he has regained a bit of pace and that he is quite a bit quicker than your stats suggest.

I would suggest:
acc: 87-88
ts: 86

His speed stats really need some tweaking - yesterday he destroyed Hutton for pace a couple of times, and Hutton is actually quite quick. On here, he's actually faster than Evra!

Hutton is more like an 82 for both imo

His defense needs to be lower. Something like 59 or maybe even lower than that. He doesn't looked fucked when he's defending these days. Mentality and TW should take a 10 or so point hit each as well.

I don't think DEF needs drastic dropping - his tackling is still OK, when he actually DOES tackle - but he's constantly out of position, coming inside when he should be defending the wing. I dropped RES so he was slower to react to being out of position. How the hell do you replicate this though? I suppose it actually must be DEF.. Hmm... would removing the side star help? Or does that only make players move to the wings in attack?

I might make some tweaks in my set then. Higher RES, notably low TW, reasonable DEF.

Does anyone else think that evra was a real liability on defence for united? suuuper irresponisble, lazy, and culpable to being found out of position, failing to track back, leaving holes in the defensive line, making poor decisions. Every time i watched him play i couldn't understand why he's a captain, maybe personality wise he has that charisma, but he is not a leader at all, neither leading by example, nor by words and motivation. I guess as a stand-in for Vidic though, there isn't really anyone else capable or willing to take on that role, or has his experience. Still, not my preferred choice at all

If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

It's hard not to notice that. He's bad, not only with United, but with the National team as well. I think that his MENT is out of synchronize with the new standards, and he's becoming so conservative with his energy.

Far from lazy, but pretty much agree with the other things.
He is the captain because he was probably the most consistent player in our team in 2008-2010, he was so good at that time.

Defense value is OK while looking at other fullbacks, MENT needs ~5 point drop.

Probably a liability for the team now, one thing that I don't understand is why his Condition/Consistency is only 5? He can play 50+ games a season and he is consistently crap in the last 12 months.

Also I don't see his DA this high anymore.

He's a defensive liability, that's true but his offensive skills are very good. His DA is fine IMO, he still gets past other RB's.

Jump needs to sit on 86 at least (his old value), he still has a great leap, and BTW Konami gave him 90 in PES2013 for comparison sake.

Also I said this before, this guy is probably capable of missing 9 shots out of 10 in the six yards box, why do you think he barely score one goal a season even though he used to bomb forward a lot??

In short:-
Jump at least 86.
SA 63.

Bump for jump increase, he is winning aerial battles against taller opponents, thats why he goes up for corners.

he's always been a good jumper, a jump decrease is uncalled for. I'll raise it back to, 86? not sure about his jump. also, lowering da to 80 for now.

If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

Yeah his old value was 86 if I remember correctly, maybe he should be a bit higher but I'm not sure ATM. BTW header should get an increase also.

DA update was justified, I also rate him at 80-81 nowadays.
