Sounds good to me.

Hard to say what numbers he should be on for Jump and Heading, I see him at 80-81 for Header and 77-78 for Jump but when I see Berbatov @ 78 & 81 I feel that he should be higher (or Berbatov should set on 76 & 80).

Also in last season he rarely went up for corners while sometimes Evra was going instead of him !! so that can suggest a lack of Jump/Header or simply lack of Stamina (he doesn't/can't run back after going up for a corner).

A lot of his headers are standing headers, similar to Crouch in a way whereby he uses his height to good effect, eliminating the need to Jump. He's capable of leaping to a decent height, it's just he seldom shows it. I can't really see him much higher than a 76 in Jump which is a decent enough value. I wouldn't bother comparing him to Berbatov or anyone like that, 99% of the league is out-dated. ;)

Do you really think he deserves an 80-81 in Header though? I mean all he does is head the ball clear sometimes which isn't hard. You can do that with any value. I don't think he needs anything higher than 77/78 personally.

Yes but obviously I can't prove it since he doesn't go up for corners nowadays.

I suggest we keep a yellow value for header unless he proves otherwise, not the other way around. :P

So then why should we give him yellow when he doesn't show it? He's never been that amazing in the air, all he does is clear the ball away with his head sometimes, and a high green value is still decent. Yellow range should be reserved for players who are actually 'good' with their head, whereas I don't think Rio is anything more than efficient. He shouldn't get a yellow value just because he's Rio Ferdinand.

What I meant is, if he doesn't go up for corners he won't show that he still has a decent header accuracy, I'm not suggesting 80 for header because he is Rio Ferdinand, I'm saying that if he doesn't show something that doesn't mean he doesn't have it.

No he is not, if you compare him with O'Shea and Smalling you'd see that he has a similar height, regarding weight that might be correct by looking at his body shape. No way he is 77Kg.

Yea, he's hench as fuck but he's not 6'5". He's only slightly taller than Vidic, who is 6'2".

Goal aside, defensively his headers were pretty poor today I thought.

Maybe his jump needs to be brought down instead? He barely leaves the ground in RVP's goal, and that would also make him less inclined for defensive headers.

Why would he even jump if it's not needed? why the hell would he jump if the bal is at the same level with his head?

Can we get an update on his jump? Again against Newcastle he showed that he deserve greens.

And I'm not sure if MENT should be that high either.

Defense can easily be at 90. His playing style is all about positioning and being at the right place at the right time, not to mention his tackling is precise.
Response should come down to around 80.
Jump to green as we discussed before.

i agree with green jump, and i can see the response coming to 80, but i'm really dubious about orange def.

If you don't put effort into your post, i won't put effort in my response.

he is not a body builder but 77 kg for a 190+ man looks low as in official site says his 87 , might be around 80-84 kg,not sure. Is his balance really just 84 ? though it was in high 80s and also agree with defence on 90 , Rio is still 1 of the top CBs in the Premier League

Defense 90 please. Honestly I don't think anyone (who's not Messi, Ribery, or someone in that tier) can prove a handful for Ferdinand in technical terms; great tackler (admittedly he doesn't tackle much but when he does he gets, as simple as that), superb at game reading, great at grabbing the ball from opposition, etc. He's been in very good form since he put his injury problems behind. The low speed showcase hiss weakness well enough. Really, he's the only one that can actually defend in the team's backline. Evra and Rafael are great for going forward but not for defending, Evans is totally inconsistent, delivers a good performance in every five game or so, De Gea is crazy and can't be predicted, CMs can't shield the defense for their life.
