there was a reason it was lowered, though actually I'm not 100% sure what that was, that was evans decision, I was happy with the 83, no real point, and a bit of a stupid comment from me...

Response 83, Teamwork 82? Also, is covering a possibility?

Thinking about it Agger is often the covering defender while Skrtel is often the player to come out the back line so maybe Agger should have a point higher in defence because it suits his style of play more but not 2.

85 would make Skrtel level with JAGIELKA and GALLAS and I think that would be fair,I also think Skrtel is better at defence than the likes of Dawson and Gary Cahill etc who are on 84.

But the biggest thing that sticks out is his current header value which is far too low,he wins almost every defensive header and he's been scoring more headers this season and he is Liverpool biggest threat when it comes to set pieces.I propose either 86 or 87 I am not sure tbh, either would be fair.

86 - ALEX ,Brede HANGELAND,Christophe BERRA,Christopher SAMBA,James COLLINS,John TERRY,Roger JOHNSON,Ryan NELSEN

87 - Michael TURNER,Robert HUTH,Ryan SHAWCROSS

Winning defensive headers has nothing to do with Header. Header indicates the accuracy and power (I think you include technique too) when heading. His Jump should probably go up.
While you should be looking at ATT for his threat in offensive set-pieces, I'd agree with raising it by a few points.

I guess putting his DEF on a 85 based on the current season would be fair. Any disagreements?

Erm, I wouldn't say that he's been hugely better than Koscielny in terms of his positioning and ball-winning etc. but maybe that says more about Koscielny than it does Skrtel. Yet for me, the reason why Liverpool's defence has been so strong is because it's highly organised and conditioned to be a well-working unit rather than individual defending merit. So I'd personally push for a rise in Skrtel's Team Work more than anything.

Very good point Tom.
I wouldn't argue raising his current value if that's what the majority wants though I personally do think his current value works fine.

With updates to both Kompany and Vidic pending I don't know why nothing has been said of Martin's set, he's probably the 3rd best defender in the league.

Agger is more reliable and consistent tbh. Although Skrtel has been fantastic this season.

as who? Skrtel? seriously..? Skrtel had just one major injury back in 2007 and since then he played always, last season he played all matches...

Skrtel today looks as solid as Agger, not worse...they are both different types of CB´s who finally have the chance to play together, but not becouse Skrtel, it was Agger injury problems who made Rafa buy Skrtel in first place...We wanted to buy Phil Jones in case Agger won´t get better but he wanted United in last minutes... and obviously United wanted him...so we bought Coates to cover for Agger or Skrtel...mostly for Agger, couse he was injured a lot..

Skrtel is more a CB who playes with power, more a CB who always is last player on pitch..very simillar to Carra but more ball playing...less hoofing ;)

Agger looks like a more attacking CB with better positioning..but he´s not flawless.. With Skrtel however they build a great partnership finally this season...something that should be more earlyer... with Johnson and Enrique as full backs, LFC defence currently is best in league stats wise...only 15 goals scored against LFC this season...so it somehow should reflect in numbers of the stats for this 5 players (Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique)...

The same Alex who can't get a game ahead of David Luiz

These stats are so outdated, when's there going to be a update? He's a lot better on the ball as well nowadays,my suggestions are on the last page.

Do you know why he doesn't play?

He put in a transfer request and was immediately barred from the first team

Liverpool defence are the second best in the leauge with same number of conceded goals as Man. United atm.

The first choice CB pair is Skrtel and Agger only..

yet Mertesacker has better numbers than Skrtel, Koscielny only few lower numbers...

Arsenal conceded 12 goals more than Liverpool...

just saying, but i don´t think they have better CB pair than Liverpool, any neutrals to agree?

he is not worse than Vermaelen or Cahill - not even Terry atm as CB.. nobody here who follows LFC?

this guy turns in to a beast and i don´t say this just becouse he is from my country...

he scored his 8 th goal for LFC in cup final:

match before this one:

he just recieved award for best player of the year 2011 in his country..

there is numbers that prove his partnership with Agger is one of best in leauge...yet his numbers in database are lower than Vermaelen for example...
he overjupms everyone in defence, any attacker so jump should be even with top CB in the league..

i think this is area for discoussion...mentality should go few points higher, never gives up...actually he is right now a captain material...

stamina also up, he playes whole season and every game full 90 minutes +

etc..

i consider him top 3 CB in EPL atm.

I I think it's time for an update. Martin was certainly one of the better defenders in the Premier League last season, and was the best Liverpool player by a mile, along with Agger to be sure.
I'm going to start with some light suggestions to get this going. Personally I think he deserves a slightly better defense (85), response (85 or 86), mentality (85) and jump (85). On technical abilities i would give him a slightly better dribbling (72) and short pass accuracy (73), and significant better long pass accuracy (75-76). Now I think his header is slightly overrated, while he wins a lot in the air, his connection isn't that good, I would give him an 83. What do you guys think?

STA should go for green value. He doesn't the team when attacked. 78 will fit him.

Sorry for posting that set, forget about the rules for a moment. About your set, I think his response should be higher than his defense and his jump than his header. His mentality should be at least on par with Agger’s.
