Sone Aluko

Like brother, like sister? Aluko's big sis has already played at the World Cup for England. Can her pacy, skilful sibling do the same?

A wide player with abundant pace and skill, Aluko is a graduate of the club’s academy and has represented England at every level up to U19.

Having made his debut in August 2007 as a late substitute against Hereford in the League Cup, he was sent to Aberdeen on loan, making his debut against Panathinaikos in the UEFA Cup and winning the man-of-the-match award against Bayern Munich in the same competition.

After scoring three times in 20 appearances for the Dons, he returned to St Andrews, where he was expected to be given more opportunities in 2008/09, however he returned to Pittodrie on the final day of the summer 2008 transfer window on a permanent basis.

Indeed he has.

Dons star Sone Aluko has been called up by Nigeria to play in this Friday evening's full international friendly against the Republic of Ireland.

The 20-year-old, capped at all levels up to and including Under 19 by England, says it was a tough choice to switch allegiance but one that he made with the full support of his family. "Although I was born in London, my family are from Nigeria and it was a tough choice to make.

"However, the call from Nigeria was too strong to turn down and the chance to be involved at full international level, and possibly World Cup qualifiers, at my age was one I could not pass by. I spoke it through with my family and they are completely behind my decision, which was one made from the heart as well as the head."

Following Friday's match, Nigeria face France in Saint Etienne on June 2 and then two 2010 Fifa World Cup qualifying matches later in the month against Kenya and Tunisia.

Sone's elder sister, Eniola is also a footballer and plays for England at full international level.

His DA is underrated, his close control is really good at times. I'm not sure about the DS value though, something like 86 would suit him better imo.

Working on a set for him, Rangers best player this season by a good distance. I reiterate my point about his DA - his close control is sublime, not far off McCourt.

Even if he plays at Hull, for me, he is stil one of the best prospects in the world... He had an fantastic season in Rangers and i think his attack skill should be a little higher, at least 77...

Player of the monht in Championship, scored 8 goals and had 4 assists. I would up his attack to 80 maybe, and his bb to at least 80. His short passing skils needs to e updated too, 77-78, even more. He is mainly playing as SS and is excelent, Hull is going to Premier league probably, if he continues playing like this.
