I have the update, for the season 2010-11:

The system is 4-4-1-1 and occasionally also 4-4-2:

GK Howard

RCB Jagielka*/Heitinga
LCB Distin
RSB P. Neville (Captain)
LSB Baines

RM Coleman
RCM Arteta (Vice-Captain)
LCM Fellaini
LM Bilyaletdinov

SS/CF Cahill
CF Saha

* Jagielka 19 matches played as CB, Heintinga only 6, in this season.

Update please.

Based on recent games, this is what i use...

GK: Howard

RB: Neville
LB: Baines
CB: Jagielka
CG: Heitinga

RM: Coleman
CM: Fellaini
CM: Osman
LM: Bilyaletdinov

SS: Cahill
CF: Saha

Places that are up for debate are mainly the left wing... :/

Time for a formation for the new season... Moyes tends to go 4-5-1 and switches to 4-4-2 if needed. This is what i have picked...

Image

Howard, Baines and Jagielka and Coleman start every game now. Heitinga starts most, if not its Distin.
Osman & Neville is always Moyes chosen pair. The same for the wingers. And the Strikers.

No other players seem too get a look in when it comes too starts.

When everybody's fit Gibson is the first choice right central midfielder for sure. Jagielka has also started every Premier League game this season as the right most centre back, not the left, with Distin and Heitinga rotating at the left centre back position. I'm also still not sure if Coleman has secured the right back position yet, as Hibbert has been suffering from niggles all season. He's definitely become an important cog in the team though.

Gibson over Neville? I didn't think Gibson was a starter... :?
I got the centre backs the wrong way around. Ooops.
Again, i just based my team on what i have seen this season. But you are an Everton fan and will know more than me. :)

Gibson has started every game he's been fit for. He's just been injured since the game against West Brom :P I wouldn't ever tell an Everton that Neville should be a starter over Gibson. They might have you committed

Also to vinne: I'll give the Jagielka set a look over in a little bit. Unfortunately I haven't seen too many full matches of Everton this season and defenders aren't my area of expertise, but I'll put forward some of my ideas.

I think Fellaini is more of an SS than a AMF.
He's always inside the box.

But he's back to create game from behind, I think the Box to Box card makes that game.

I wouldn't say Everton are a Long Ball team.

At full strength I'd gather we'd be starting like this. I'll try and get a formation done when the dust settles a bit on the season.

GK: Tim HOWARD
RCB: Phil JAGIELKA ©
LCB: Sylvain DISTIN
RB: Seamus COLEMAN
LB: Leighton BAINES
LDM: Gareth BARRY/Darron GIBSON
RCM: James McCARTHY
AM: Ross BARKLEY
LAM: Steven PIENAAR
RSS: Kevin MIRALLAS
CF: Romelu LUKAKU

Short Free Kick: BAINES/MIRALLAS/JELAVIC/PIENAAR
Long Free Kick: BAINES/GIBSON
Left Corner: BAINES/MIRALLAS/GIBSON
Right Corner: BAINES/MIRALLAS/GIBSON
Penalty Kick: BAINES
Players to go up: DISTIN / JAGIELKA[/quote]
