I don't agree with raising his weak foot stats, he shoots well with his left foot but it's pretty much the only thing he does with his left foot. Just think about how he frequently uses the outside of the foot. Besides he already has WFA 6, what he needs is a raise to ST.

His technique needs to go well UP, he probably has the best first touch in the Liverpool team, i would say around 85. Seriously his touch is immense. His technique is also evident in his volleys, he makes contact with the ball well in almost every one of them.

I believe so, but also his Tech should go up. Using volleys as an example in real life if a player has good volleys they would usually have a good touch (it's a similar process) but his first touch is immaculate, on my OP i have him on 88 but i doubt people will agree with that.

Agree with a small raise on TECH, his 1st is quite good as some people already said. Maybe an 83 similar to Moutinho's or Martins 1st-touch.

Regarding first touch and overall technique it's like: Meireles good, Moutinho better, Martins best.

And for the ones who want to raise his technique based on how he strikes the ball there's a stat called shot technique duh.

If you look at J. Garcia or Fernando, they're only 1 point below Meireles in TECH, which isn't true imo. Meireles has more class and efectivness at trapping and controlling the ball so that only 1 point above them, makes them almost the same in the game, which is a bit unrealistic. But that's just my opinion.

You're absolutely right about that, Meireles deserves a gap bigger than just one point to Fernando and Javi. I agree Meireles deserves a small raise but players like Fernando and Javi are hard to rate with what they really deserve because if you give them a value like 77 the whole forum falls on you criticizing that.

what value were you thinking of for tech and ST?

I'm a bit undecided on tech value, but here's my bid:


Shot Accuracy: 75
Shot Power: 84 - not a powerful shot per say, it's about the way he strikes the ball.
Shot Technique: 80 - I would consider the addition of 1 touch play as well.
Technique: 81, could be stretched to 82 but imo 81 works fine in game.

I would also like to suggest the following:

Short Pass Accuracy: 83
Short Pass Speed: 82
Long Pass Accuracy: 85
Long Pass Speed: 83
Free Kick Accuracy: 74
Curling: 80

His long passes are more impressive than his short ones, he used to deliver nice diagonal passes from the left side of midfield to the running right winger, usually very well measured. He is also a good CK taker and i remember him being assist leader for some time because of his CKs. He is not a FK taker, don't remember him ever taking a FK.
