So Djalma Santos gets in the All time dream team but not the south american dream team?
I think a little change is in order otherwise it doesn't really make sense ;)

Redondo should not be in the starting lineup?

And, what about Socrates?

Should Djalma Santos really be starting Right-Back? As brilliant as he was I would have assumed that Carlos Alberto was, ever so slightly, the more accomplished player. I would have had him as starting right-back rather than D Santos.

Yes, I agree. At least for his great stats on this site, he is the best goalkeeper by far among the others South American goalkeepers.
Why is he not in?

samuel? could be a good option, one of the best CB's in teh last years in south america without doubts
but talkin about stats, teh actual CB's are better than il muro

still think Samuel is an suitable option for reserves at least... looking forward to get opinion (no bs thanks rodry)

Edit: @xeneize i dont really trust a lot on this Cb stats, didnt saw them either, but sometimes i feel some stats are overdone, Samuel along with Lucio conformed probably one hell of pair, worldclass i must say... and definately worth of a mention, yes, that doesnt mean they are better than legends like Pasarella, but when i see this i feel there is no one standing up for nowadays players more than Puppi (that would be a blasphemy if he werent here :P ) and Messi easily a top 5 of all times Players.

about samuel, talking about positioning, he's teh best of the last 15 years IMO (sorry if i forget some other player) his ubication was (the classic samuel) AMAZING, comparable with chumpitaz positioning and better than passarella's IMO, also always created danger with hit head in the corners and FK's but the problem is the rest of the stats if we're going to put the player according to the stats

(is not too much important, but th eyoung samuel with 22 y.o. was amazing, on pair with the best CB's in teh worl who had more age than him)

exactly, i think the same, but the problem is, i don't see those players too much
teh samuel with lucio who won the last Champions was INCREDIBLE, he deserves that name in that time...

Well, I think Valderrama must be in the reserves, he is an important player in the history of south america.

agree, but in the place of who? the most "similar" to valderrama is socrates comparing those 3 players in the reserves... also cubillas was SS, and stay in teh reserves as midfielder
