Its a pity the Eredivisie is so outdated, I really don't know whether these are accurate or not. Although I'd rate him positionally better than Djourou, although, I think Djourou is a tad overrated.

To be honest, the stats of most players at the big clubs are quite fairly rated already.

It's not like he's a worldbeater or anything. I think it says enough that most Ajacieden don't even mind he's leaving.

Of Arsenal's reported interest in Vermaelen, Adams added: "I think Thomas is a very good player but I don’t think he’s ready for the Arsenal.

"I don’t think the punters at Arsenal would like another small one.

"I don’t know whether he [Wenger] will end up going for a bigger player. We’ll see how much money we’ve got first.

"I have been looking at the Dutch league, but to be honest with you it’s been decimated.

"It’s a poor league at the moment, there’s one or two players but they’re leaving too early as well."

Poor league, my ass.

There are several talents walking around that will find their way to a European topclub sooner or later, just don't come looking for superstars since they aren't made here.

Are these a good reflection of his playing abilities? It seems like he has not been discussed at all. Any input will be appreciated :)

Not a great idea because some people might have seen him at Ajax and want to change stats ;). I'm surprised(well not surprised, this is Wenger after all :P) you didn't go for a taller centre-back.

The reason why I suggested to move him to Arsenal and close this thread is because when I look at the stats in the first posts I didn't see it seriously outdated, maybe I don't know much about him but based on what I have read about him the stats actually represent him well, and also I don't think many people will care to give him a full update so it's better to move him to Premier League and lock it for now.
