Nicolae Dica is one of the great exports of Fc Arges when they produced a generation that involved Adrian Mutu and Rica Neaga. While Mutu was soon abroad to play on the highest levels in Europe, Dica stayed in Romania and became one of the classiest playmakers at Steaua Bucuresti. N.Dica was a consistent scorer and assist man and also became the keyplayer in attack when Steaua had great stints in Europe. He also got called up by the NT and really managed to compete with Mutu for a short period as they both constantly made the scoring sheet. Then something must've happened and I don't know what. His performances got worse and he suddenly stopped to deliver. He has always been known to be very slow which probably explains why he never had that many tempting offers from abroad but his decline began quickly and his move away to Calcio Catania wouldn't help his career either as his difficult attitude makes it hard for him to integrate into a team.

I think 1-touch pass can be taken away from him... I thought about his best moments and he usually scored with his 2nd touch

he's a bid of a prick there... he apparently didn't "adapt" and wanted to crawl back already... its a shame that Zenga knows his qualities because I miss him in Liga1

he barely played from what I know... I think Zenga wants to build his confidence or else he wouldnt have had the captains armband and no10

the stats are based on his seasons at Steaua and for the NT... keep in mind that he had like 2 motm games in the CL and was ranked among the best players in that season. A couple of stats are a bid up in the air but Zenga knew him when he was purchased, got the no10 and even captained the team in friendlies and cup games to gain some confidence. It seems like apparently nothing helped though but those stats were definately accurate at some point of his career.

I've given him a basic rundown when I created him and I can back up each one of these stats if you question him which is totally understandable.

Which stats seem high in your opinion?

No, you misunderstood me :) I've never seen him in a match and because of that I can't give specific values to him. I was just wandering the reason why Zenga doesn't use him if he is so good!! no problem with you PMC ;)

I honestly think that Dica is just being a p*ssy there. Maybe his antics in the locker room, lack of motivation or his attitude are a problem there. I doubt its footballing reasons because Zenga coached Steaua before Catania and knew Dica very well, well enough to consider him a huge signing when he joined Catania.

I just wondered where you considered his stats pretty high so I can help you explain them ;)

he used to be one of the best passers in Romania... he never failed them but gave them a bid too little power, they were intercepted many times but never mistimed

curl because he's great at lobs, tricky crosses and freekicks... imo the best FK taker of Romania right after Niculescu but thats just me.

teamwork because he had a great understanding with the teammates on the pitch but maybe 86 is stretching it... 83 could maybe do it too but we can't tell right now I guess
