No German footy follower who wants to update this team:)?

Made an update with the newest team, thanks to Oriello! The only think that should be changed is the number of players:P
Bit the question remains, anybody willing to keep this team up to date, just ask it:)

Well I can probably take up that task, I follow the German NT pretty religiously.

mate i suggest you to make NT with often-called players...for example Lahm deserve to be in NT despite he wasn't called in last match ;)

Fixed the numbers of the current squad called up.

Added a formation but it's a bit sketchy. Loew still doesn't have a definite 11 in mind. Lahm can play on either side which means an open spot needs to be filled by the likes of Friedrich, Hinkel, Jansen(most likely) or possibly Castro, Pander...

Frings is not a sure starter as well. Rolfes might be given the starting spot in midfield along with Ballack.

When Podolski regains fitness, he should start with Klose but that spot could be taking by Helmes or Gomez as well.

I don't think Adler is a sure thing in goal either.

Metzelder isn't playing regularly to be called up. I don't think he has been since the Euro. He is totally out the picture right now for Loew.

Hopefully he will move to another club and start playing regularly. He is a very good defender when fit.

-Helmes is injured for around half a year. Replace him with a third goalkeeper, the regular starter Enke (No.1). If you have to add a forward take Cacau.

In the formation Ballack (CM, rather left) plays next to Hitzlsperger (DM, rather right center), Hitzlsperger a bit more defensive, so I suggest to set him on DM, Ballack on ZM.

Gomez starts next to Klose. Gomez rather left and less defensive than Klose who is "working" more for the team. Last qualification game we played with a 4-5-1 against Wales, but I would not count this as it was a special formation against a defensive opponent and Klose was injured. Regular system is DM (normally Hitzlsperger) NEXT to Ballack.

I do not count the games in Asia as we did not play with our best team. I suggest to set Beck as starting side back (right) as it seems that he will get this position due to his offensive abilities against "smaller" opponents (Azerbaijan). Against Russia I expect Friedrich or Westermann on this position.

So, like this:

---------------------Enke-----------------------
--Beck--------Tasci-------Mertesa.-------Lahm-
------------Hitzlsp.(DM)--Ballack(CM)-----------
Schweinsteiger----------------------Trochowski
----------------Klose-----Gomez---------------

This is the formation we would play if tomorrow was an important game i think.

Def. line = B
Offside trap = C (not an often used instrument)

Corners/freekicks attacking: CB's + Ballack

Free kicks (short) and corners: Trochowski
FK long: Hitzlsperger

SB's not far in front of CB's as they are already quite offensive due to their AGGR.

Except Gomez and Trochowski (both medium) all players on max. defending.

I am playing with these settings and it seems to be realistic.

Hitzlsperger, Rolfes or Frings on the DMF Position. Löw doesn`t know at the moment.

Yes, but when not injured last games Hitzlsperger always played, think he is a little bit in front at the moment. But of course this can change next season...

Is a German user already in charge for this thread?

I think Ace edit all nationalteams and he make a great job, so he will do it.

We can put Hitzlsperger in the first eleven.

I don`t know what we should do with Helmes - I think he`s still one of the for striker for the nationalteam.

I know he`s injured for a half year but I think he`s still a member of the nationalteam

I updated the formation (except Enke): so you suggested to put Enke instead of Helmes...now I have 2 questions:
- is Enke a regular called? (Helmes is)
- and if yes, how have I to change numbers? (I can't give him #9 :P )

Ozil #9 seems a bit crazy :P maybe Kiesseling #9 and Ozil #21

BTW I don't think Helmes deserve to be removed, he is a regular called and he was called often...maybe the best choice for now is to have 2 GK (Low every time calls only 2), so my suggestion is to replace Wiese with Enke (so we will have Enke #1 and Adler #12)...or at least remove Ozil for Enke, but I suggest to have only 2 GKs as Low want :D

Thanks for the update! Helmes has a rupture of the cruciate ligament , that's why. He will not be able to play for around 6 months... And you know much time some players need after an injury like this to be back and in form like before the injury. :(

please wait until the Russia game. Löw wanna try something against Aserbaidschan and we got some injures.

The only thing is, that Enke is germanys number one.
