I haven't been paying too close attention, but here are my thoughts.
1. Bocanegra is the team captain. Does all the interviews etc.
2. RB not sure if Spector will forsure get the job over Cherundolo.
3. I'd think DeMeritt would start at CB over Goodson
4. With Dempsey getting moved up to SS, are we sure that Holden has one the last MF spot?
- I know they love Feilhaber(despite his lack of shine recently)
- Torres has been more effective, but used largely off the bench
- Or they could go with a 2nd striker and move Dempsey back to SMF/AMF

Hard to say what the lineup will be.

I think we have a good chance of seeing it against Australia though in the last friendly before the WC.

I'll redo the formation then.

In my OF, I have found it's easier to use the actual in game positioning charts than the generic formations that Konami use. Take a look at the real positioning of players in the US WC games.

US-Ghana
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournam ... mation.pdf

US-England
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournam ... mation.pdf

US-Slovenia
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournam ... mation.pdf

US-Algeria
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournam ... mation.pdf

These formations are far more accurate than some generic 4-4-2 formation. They reflect the US' lack of width in attack and attempts to muck up the center of the field defensively.

I feel we should use these formations for all WC teams. I would like these files to be added to the first post so people can find the real formations easier.

All testing done on PES13 on PS3.

WHU Fan,

If you look at the pdf files I posted from the WC, I think you will see that Dempsey and Donovan play far more like AMF that very occasionally drift wide rather than SMF than drift in. Edu clearly plays deeper than Bradley in a holding role, which allows Bradley the freedom for his aggressive attacks from deep.

The whole team plays much narrower than that formation shows. Thats why FIFA's average position maps are better than just throwing out generic formations.

If you aren't happy with "generic formations" please follow other NTs and make a formation with Formation Tool. Remember I made my best keeping updated almost all 32 WC teams, and if I made a generic formation it's because I can't follow all 32 teams...

The squad needs to be badly updated. Here's the latest squad:
GK: Tim Howard (Everton), Marcus Hahnemann (Wolves), David Yelldell (Duisburg)
DEF: Carlos Bocanegra (Saint-Etienne), Jonathan Bornstein (UANL), Timothy Chandler (Nurnberg), Jay Demerit (Vancouver Whitecaps), Eric Lichaj (Leeds United), Oguchi Onyewu (Twente), Tim Ream (NY Red Bulls), Jonathan Spector (West Ham)
MID: Micheal Bradley (Aston Villa), Clint Dempsey (Fulham), Mikkel Diskerud (Stabaek), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy), Maurice Edu (Rangers), Benny Feilhaber (AGF), Jermaine Jones (Blackburn), Sacha Kljestan (Anderlecht)
FWD: Juan Agudelo (NY Red Bulls), Jozy Altidore (Bursaspor), Edson Buddle (Ingolstadt)

I'm curious to understand what did you mean with "badly updated" because reading your comment it seem our work is bad, I can see only 3 players out: Beasley, Torres and Gomez, now I replaced them with Diskerud, Kljestan and Agudelo (maybe it was too early for Diskerud and Agudelo, but I needed to remove Beasley and Gomez).

No Torres...

Pretty retarded squad honestly.

Rogers should not be there, Shea should replace him.

Altidore should be dropped as well..utter crap.
