Stefan de Vrij

Very young talented right footed defender. Intelligent passer of the ball and a dedicated back when defending. Lacks a bit of physical presence as he is quite slow and a not very strong for his length. Looks to be destined to become an "passing" centre back.

I know he used to play as a centre back, but I didnt know he played as CM. Do you have any source for this?

For VV Spirrit, Ouderkerk aan den IJssel

Stefan De Vrij Source

He moved to defender, it is better for him ;)

Well right, but I dont think the fact that he was an midfielder in the U15s should deserve him that position in the game.

And, do you speak Dutch:o?

He would have had experience, but unless he plays position later because of injury crisis, I will see more.

No, however I watch a lot of it on TV. I'm guessing you do speak dutch?

Well, yeah. Fides IS Dutch, like myself. ;)

Played a decent second half against Ajax, did a lot better than Bahia whom was simply woeful at the back at times.

I suggest making him CB*

He is playing CB now, and its definitely better at it then SB

CB is his neutral posistion, also do i find him positionily better then 73 maybe 74?

Fides the rest looks fine by me, your right of him being a passing defender, nut he also had a descent tackle but he a very clean player, always looks to play the ball. Arsenal is interested in him i heard.

oh yeah last thing IMO.. i think he is a better header then Engelaar and he is on 74.. maybe switch them up? De Vrij 74 and Engelaar 73.

Aggression seems very high for a CB?

i find him quite diligent in defending and rarely going forward in his current centreback role, at least less than vlaar whom i find rather aggressive in overlapping; TBH i always had 71 / 72 in my mind for AGG but strangely Vlaar's AGG now sits on 62 :|

AGG is indeed too high. CB is also his main position. That pic is a bit old btw.

He is more intelligent in terms of positioning as these stats suggest.

Agree with DEF, but what about his BB? he's 78 kg and i believe he warrants for a bit more

Maybe 79, but not a yellow number. He defends far more with his positioning and tackles/RES.
