A very talented, young centreback that has been troubled by injuries througout his career. Vlaar debuted aged 20 for AZ and had since impressed Dutch crowds all over the country, often being named the next Jaap Stam before moving to Feyenoord on a 3 year deal in 2006. During the U21 EC a year later, Vlaar hurt his knee and was out for a long time. The 2008-2009 proved to be a disappoint for Ron too, spending much of the season on the stands with multiple niggling injuries and some bad knee injuries.

Recently, Vlaar has impressed in the centre of defence along with Bahia and Van Dijk; having conceded 0 goals for Feyenoord so far in the 09-10 season.

He really looked faster against Roda. Mostly he's TS. I suggest TS 81.

Yeah he isnt slow. Maybe TS 81 is fair indeed. His AGI could maybe also be 74/75

IMO his AGI should be low 70's, maybe 71?

Hmm, I would agree with 71/72, but I thin his TS is higher then people might expect.

I already had suggested that. Maybe TS 80 or like i suggested 81. But AGI wise he is a 71 for me. I dont know if you saw the game against Slovakia, there was a moment when he had to turn around... man

Maybe its just his bald head and beard (haha), but he looks stronger then this to me. He is now on the level of Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Heitinga and Vermaelen. For me he could be +1 or 2 on BAL.

Agree, on default he is 87 so they got that pretty good.
Btw, is his weight 80 kg correct?

He's doing really good so far in NT so nevermind lowering defence.

I agree he is unagile, but his speed is decent. He came rushing in from time to time when an opponent came with the ball.

Quite easily and convincingly outmuscled Pepe on one corner whose balance sits on 86 (too high imo).

What are you talking about? Vlaar didnt even have contact with Pepe on that cross.

Terry-esque AGI. Seriously. He needs a value in the mid-60s.

I know your not joking, but i dont know what it is with Vlaar..but he makes me laugh  everytime his AGI is mentioned, mostly by me. With the newstandards and Terry having AGI 68 it wouldnt be a bad idea. But then players like Wisgerhof, Schut and Wieleart should be downgraded to high 50's/low 60's.
