Ricardo van Rhijn

Young rightback who quickly rose in through the rank to debut in the Dutch national team within about 7 months after his Eredivisie debut. What stands out are his stamina and pace. Has good ball abilities for a defender and wins most on his air battles because of his above average length and decent leap for a wing player.

Alright. Raised his ATT back to 69 and his AGG to 80.

He seems quite a bit better than previous season. He's only played 2 matches but he didn't look nearly as lethargic as we're used from him.

Also have seen some sprints of him that suggest TS: 85 (+)

He's finally realised he can do more than jog or stand about. But his overall TS isn't much higher than current.

He's been really, really good this season. I like his new playing style, doesn't seem to be constantly attacking anymore, giving him an opportunity to show his defending skills, which are actually pretty good.

And his shooting is fucking insane lately.

Yeah if he continues it might be an idea to raise his MENT and form a bit.

Well I already raised his MENT a bit, he never really impressed me on that aspect.

Gave him an update based on his performances as of late.

EDIT: I noticed this quite a lot lately, he's somewhat of a headless chicken in his overlapping runs, he just goes, doesn't really pay attention to whether an attack is really dangerous or just a fluke, he really blows his load doing this, I increased his stamina somewhat as I'm sure that's not his problem, but he just goes and goes and never thinks of stopping, he completely doses his stamina wrong.

Basically, he's been looking like a yellow response/orange AGG player lately.

Yet for me his attacking intelligence/strength/danger-creating skills are pretty limited. 69/70 would be enough if you ask me.

I'd be inclined to agree, but it makes the 69 he had previous season FAR too high, when it's evident he's been far more dangerous this season. He might be a point or 2 lower than this, though.

Lower shooting is indeed good. I actually think SA and ST should still be lower. I'd rather raise his FKA to about 75. Perhaps slightly higher Curl.

His crossing is awful, just awful. Even the current value is generous, he's more like 72.

EDIT: Okay I've lowered him, every single cross I've seen from him from the past 5-10 matches has been godawful or just completely fucked up, this value is the highest he deserves.

I think it's hilariously symbolic that he got benched by fucking Tete of all players last Wednesday.

I can hardly imagine Tete benching him, but considering v. Rhijn's level last season, it wouldn't surprise me.

EDIT: And up to this point, he's still benched.

EDIT, 24 Aug: Showed yesterday that he's still awful at crossing.

I do think his mentality is quite okay. He works quite hard IMO. Agression can come down though. I dont think he is that offensive or agressive to have 84 (same as vd Wiel for example).

I love how Tete crushes him in pretty much every aspect. And I mean EVERY aspect. Tete made it actively annoying to see Ricardo on the field, as he's about 10 levels below Kenny.
