But McDonald has 44 Defence + 84 Mentality...

So he must be a bit overrated if you compare him with Samaras.

No, considering McDonald works a lot harder than him.

I know but Goodwillie for example has 42 in Defence and he doesn't tracks back so much like Samaras.

Goodwillie has a more accurate tackle but has a lower Mentality so won't track back as much as Samaras anyway.

Samaras doesn't help our defensive and in my opinion he is our worsest striker.
Killen has got a few strengths - heading and his power - but samaras... always looke like someone who completely lack any kind of determination and dynamic willpower.
Wouldn't give him an 75 at mentality.
Sometimes he's a real threat to the defence, but this days are very limited and in 9 of 10 occasions he's pish.
Would be glad if he plays better, generally like this guy.

my "notes" regarding Samaras from the game vs Rapid Vienna would be as follows:

Very mobile, post-player, quick and technical for a player his size, above average passing for a CF, not as strong as Patocka

I'm not so sure... his passing seemed safe enough to have both LP and SP in the 70s region. Remember he works alot as post player, does tricky stops and distributes the ball having a CB on his back.

They both are, but his Crosses oftentimes lack pace, but they are accurate when needed. I could push him up to a 70-71. But, No higher, he plays the ball most of the time along the ground rather than in the air.

well... him being a striker he'll not get to cross very often... vs Vienna he sometimes got a long ball to the wingers and they seemed very secure for a striker. I believe that LPA 73 and LPS 71 wouldn't be so wrong but of course i dont see him as much as you do

The thing is though, he's replaced a striker who would play almost as if he were a winger, so its quite a contrast to when Fortuné plays and Samaras does :P

I've updated his LPS.

I agree... he always looks for space and doesn't hesitate to move out wide to receive a good pass. I rate this quality and i sincerly believe that this tells us alot about his technical abilities because if he were average he'd try to be more physical which he defo isnt.

judging that Rapid game I'd have given him BB 83-84, Tech 81 and the passing stats as suggested

Oh his 1st touch is so mecurial I wouldn't go higher than an 80. As for his BB I think he's okay at 85, although an 84 wouldn't be too harsh.

Although the stats are pretty much fine in my opinion now. There's only a few stats which would be a 1 or 2 point range on them, anyway, I'll be posting an update for him in my thread on Evo-Web soon enough. So I'll post it in here when its done ;)

Why can't he do things like this for Celtic?

Please add SMF to positions, he performs there better as he does at CF... in fact he always play like a winger even as a striker you're lucky to see him once in the box.
His dribbling moves have improved so this could maybe raised by 1 or 2 points.
Decrease his mentality anyway. He works hard for the team but he totally breaks down when pressure is on.

I don't think 81 is too much for Samaras' mentality although it could be 79-80.
What do you think should be increased DA, DS or both and should do not be WF rather than SMF.
