I agree with everything but can you explain me why he deserves the playmaking star

For me his play is a bit similar to Josué's.
His passes reaches almost the teammate, not only of his qualities, but because of his good eye for his teammates.
And with *Playmaker the other players have a better positioning to the ball when Petit has the ball. ;)

He had a strong first half of the Season but then ... :?
IMO his rating with Center* & Playmaking* is a little bit over the Top and we have to account that he is getting older and older and definitely not better in this aspect.
Sorry, but i think his great days are over.

Actually *Center has no effect to his stats, so why do you think I rate him with that star so high? And when he has a good eye for his teammates, why not *Playmaker? In my opinion Jarolim should also get this star, though he isn't such that good passer.
You're right that he was not so good as in the first half, but in my eyes he still was one of the best at Cologne. You're also right that he's getting older and older, but he's still running a lot and works a lot for his team, too.
Not sure, how good he was in Portugal, but I still think he's playing on a high level.

I think we should be economical with this Playmaking Star and it should be rarely awarded, especially in the Bundesliga.
Petit is a Runner and Fighter with a developed Passing but Playmaking? I
believe he doesn't earn it that much.
His achievement, with all due respect, was good on a Cologne Standard but not good enough for being worthy of having the Playmaker* . I can't remember a streak of Games he Played in a row on this suggested high Level and effecting a lot of intelligent runs and Positioning of his Cologne Teammates.

I hope you know the right explanation for the playmaker star. ;)
Petit is mostly around the middle circle on the pitch in the game, but there arranges the ball to his teammates. Well, most of the DMF's or CMF's do that, but he's in my eyes with Josué and Jarolim the only one doing do that really good.

...and that is why i think that Centre* is for his achievment sufficient.
I'm sure that he earns that award (Playmaking*) only in 1-2 at max. out of 10 games and that is not enough for giving him that Star.
His capability to create intelligent forward runs or to Position his Teammates on a higher Level is in my eyes simply not that good.
I think that his overall completed Passes Statistic as example, for this Season, is only slightly above average and often enough not very creative for a Player on this Position. There was to much "alibi -passing". ;)

*Centre is only a tendency where the player will mostly be in the game, so it's not a qualitie which reflects his achievement.
I don't know how good his rating in successful passes is, but what I see from him this season, especially in the first half, was quite impressive.
Josué isn't also so conspicuous in passing, but he knows like Petit how to create an attack.
And what do you mean with "alibi-passing"?

I know that Centre is only a Tendency (I can read).
But if you ask, Colognes Game lacks in beeing creative and having NOT a real Playmaker.
If you call his achievement impressive....I don't know.
Alibi Passing is the same as Alibi Pass in German...it's a Pass without a Playmaking Background, mostly to the next standing Teammate without being creative but safe.

*Playmaker doesn't mean exactly "playmaker" and there aren't only creative passes, creating an attack musn't only be creative, they just had to reach the player.^^
Or do you think Josué makes creative passes?
I think most of the creative passes are still linked with the great technique of the player.

So do it with Playmaking*, but I'm not a hughes Fan of it because there was to much Shadow in his Game.

Think, I take a more accurate eye at him the first half and if he don't reflect that what I said than I'm going to remove this star. ;)

I think he need CMF too. Last season he played a bit more offensive than Pezzoni!

Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself
