Doesn't he play as a CF in a 4-2-3-1 formation at koln?

I Guess he was referring to making his main position CF*

I was just wondering if he has played enough as a CF to warrant his main position to be a CF* or maybe an increase in attack perhaps?

I don't think we should give him CF as main position just because he played 5-6 games as CF. But an increase in attack doens't seem wrong for me, I would suggest 85 (like Müller).

CF as his main position is never needed. He acts like a SSS in the whole Köln system cause Köln is just on counter attacks the whole match. also in the NT he`s a LMF. I`d never give Podolski CF as his main position cause it would destroy his style of play

Yes, you are right on that. First matches of this season Novakovic was the CF, but then Podolski started to play that "role". Sometimes, Freis also did that role. So, basically they main weapon is counter attack, with Clemens/Peszko by sides (Podolski also). All forwards change their position, nothing static (similar to Barca´s style) but this is not possession but counter attack. So, he used lines to look for space, switching positions. ;)
I like the 85 in ATT, it seems Lukas is a more wide player in attacks terms, showed better possionatilly (of course) and main capable of reading more his movements and choose better decisions.

I see. In that case, I fully support an 85 for attack.

Like this set. Found it very accurate except for his STA. He runs a lot, makes dirty work covering the side (when he plays as SMF) and tracks back a lot. He plays always 90 minutes and high stamina is needed at Köln strategy (counter-attack). I see him more at 85.

Dios mio, Podolski's form this year would make Drogba have wet dreams. Seriously, you seem to have seen a total of 0 matches of Bundesliga this season, stop making a fool of yourself in here.

I saw some games and all goals , his in good form this season but again he scoring in Bundes Liga , i would love to see him scoring like a mashine in Premier League o Serie A. Dzeko was also a gol mashine in Budes Liga but now in Premier league his still quality but not like a mashine against a better competion , also dont forget champions league. feel the difference

Luisito I think your argument about Bundesliga is really bad so please tell me what about Klose, Demba Ba or Progrebnyak. Especially Progrebnyak scored in the Buli nearly no goals. Now in the Premier Leuge he shot in 5 games 5 goals. Also the average club in the Buli are surely on a level with the normal clubs in the Primera Divison. Also from the style of playing you can´t compare different Leagues that easy. Same about Dzeko at Wolfsburg he was included in every attack but at Man CIty Agüero or Nasri can easily do an attack without him. So the teams are also an factor which you should think about.

When Lucas did a great WCs and EURO (better youth player WC' 06, scored some goals 43 goals in 95 apps), he plays against some null defenses too...
Luisito's arguments are really weak, IMO he's a really good forward, you shouldn't evaluate his stats for being in a regular team or for being in BuLi (the league wich is growing more than any other, the third better league if you ask me), IMO he fits better on Arsenal than Gervinho (to compare him with an attacking player without talking about RVP) and could make a great association with RVP if he doesn't leave the club.

i watched full 90 mins the game between Dortmund vs Colonia , Podolski was alright but dont had much of chance against a wall between Hummels and Subotic , he made few hard shots but Weidenfeller controled them well , could tell Dortmund is a amazing team , overall after Bayern wihtout doubt the secound best German team even in Bundes Liga the best team since 2 seasons now , great young team , Barcelona of Germany :D
