thoughts on response and defence values? I have a feeling they ought to be switched. And header could go up 1/2 pts.

aggression is too high,he do not partecipate that much at attacks,he goes up on corners sometimes( they already have mexes who always goes up).

rfuna you're right,tackles and reading of the game are his bigger points.

this season had five injuries,
one month injury at september with brazil;
a week injury in december(serie A);
three weeks injury in feb-march(serie a);

and two consecutive muscolar injuries from the Roma-Arsenal championship match,he stayed out for the rest of the season(at least from the 11 March 2009 game to May 24).

[in the 07-08 season got 6 injuries also]

-don't know if inj. tolerance could go down to C,i want other thoughts on this,but with three 4-weeks+ injuries i'm prone to a C.

07-08 30 Matches played.
08-09 27 Matches played ~2200 min

imo condition needs to go down to 6.
even looking in his last seven seasons,he had two 30+ games seasons only.

For what i've seen in his style of play,i think that *marking and *sliding are surely appropriate. i really don't know if *covering could stay anyway,but with a new Defence value at 85 maybe could.

I found mentality and TW values spot on imo.

agility can go even up to a 79 i think,in par with christian chivu,cause i think that some guys at 78(Cirillo????,Biava?,Domizzi) are less skilled in their body usage;after that i thinked that maybe them were better carrier of the ball at feet but the answer was the same:no.

So my update sugg:

Defence: 85,in par with gamberini and Legro
Response: 86-87, his by far best skill
Agility: 78-79,ladder placement
Aggression: 66 ,in par with Materazzi and Natali,could work
Inury Tolerance: B / C ?
Condition: 6

i'll try to update the rest lately (:

Agree with the above, not sure injury C is appropriate for Juan. He has been unlucky this season, that's all.

One of my favorite players in the NT. Maybe a small increase in jump could be necessary. He was scored against Uruguai after winning the aerial challenge twice, scored again against Egypt (and that's is all I can remember, but you can tell me if it was luck or he does it consistently).

Actually the agreed suggestion was something like this one......and none of the updated stats is like this.

And he can't be a 7 Cond IT: B , hed be too much available in the game if we compare with the reality.

I read the discussion and agree with these suggestions, except the Condition thing. I don't think we should reduce his Condition now based on the amount of games he played, as he was injuried most of the time in the season.

in fact,id prefer a Conditioning 7 and IT: C

Injuried this season
5 injuries in 08-09
6 injuries in 07-08

I mean....imo he's clearly a C. Expecially for a defender,in the game he doesent take knocks as a midfielder or a striker.

I agree :
DEF 85 (he surely on par with gamberini end Legro, maybe better)
RES 87 (if it's his best quality than leave it like that)
AGI 75 (maximum value I would see, his moves are quite smooth and elegant but still to slow to deserve more)
AGG 67 (I see a drop but 4 pts maybe too much, he does not dislike once in a while to adventure ahead but maybe not as much as Mexes who recently seemed to exaggerate...)
In Tol C (considering that the majority of players in this database has B, he is surely now one of the most likely "injurable" players and tends do not recover well and fast from every accident...

agility @ 76 and agree to agression @ 66 and condition. Everything else I would wait a while as they're not so urgent.
