I just saw Carlos's overlapping run, and i could say that 92 acc is too much for him
He's a typical player who needs time to reach his top speed.Give him 3 seconds, and no one could catch him.

But, IMO, don't change everything unless we get the PES 2012.

It seems we gonna have some kind of revolution with PES 2012(no st, agility and acc in one skill etc). For now I wouldn't take care of it and just do the job. When we''ll have PES 2012 and know how it works a new sets will be probably needed.

It won't be anything fancy, just old good R.Carlos we all know: very aggressive in attacking, fast, with enormous shot(99 sp of course), never getting tired nor giving up and with surprisingly good technical skills. Simply the best left(wing)back has ever been

Been testing his shotting lately. He definetly should have both *Middle Shotting and *Curling Shot. It felt much better when trying freekicks with those 2 stars. Also SP any higher than 97 kills the realism of his shotting, makes the ball travel too fast, and doesn't give it time to curl. And tbh Kolodin had a much harder shot than him. St in the meanwhile could be a touch higher. Dunno about SA though, I'd rather leave it as it is.

I'd also leave SA as it is, a higher value would probably make him just too good ingame, specially considering how prone of shooting from outside the box he is. ST could sit one or two points higher though, but I wouldn't get him into yellows. About SP... dunno really. 95 would probably be enough. He hit the ball very very hard but to be honest I considered his crazy curling effects to be even more dangerous than his power, so Curling value should be over SP.

Also, considering the revamp proposal of RES for fullbacks, I believe he could do well with a few less points. Konami was quite persistant about giving him a plain 80 for his late years, so 80 for the late set and 81/82 for the prime one should be enough.

Agree with an even lower SP. Not a 95 though Korinov, I'd go for a 96. I've also always considered his Culing being higher than his actual power, but when you score goals from 40 bloody metres out, it's the power what the people will remember more than the curling, although seriously, his curling sometimes looked like a "Holy and Benji" kind of shit. I could go even for higher. It's really hard curling the ball like that when you hit the ball with all that power. Of course there are players that could give to the ball some curling that RC wouldn't even dream of, but they are mainly players that go for the techincal shot, paying more attention to the curl and placement, but what RC did was much more different. Giving so much curl to the ball, while generating so much power from the shot, is much harder both in the game and in reality.

Never thought about having him on a yellow ST, 79 should be enough. Agree with you on lowering res a bit, wouldn't go lower than an 82, he was quite an active fullback, but maybe we should settle the thing with RES on fullbacks out. He could sit even lower.

what about an update for the 1997-2002 set in attack according to the new standards ? 84-86 maybe , he is one of the best attacking fullbacks in history.
And he should be leader in all time shot power ladder, his shot at ground level was unstoppable at 20-25 mts.

i think he is underrated in a few aspects just because he is a defender , like attack and tech , if he was a midfielder not a SB his att would be rated 85-89 easy , also his FK accuracy is a lot better than current CR7 (83)

Anyway proposed values for att were way over the top but he should easily in yellow att. Not on Alves level though, R.Carlos wasn't as intelligent in attacking as him but he compensate it with other attributes, mainly the physical ones. I'd go with 81. Fka shouldn't be touched. He wasn't relying on accuracy in his free kicks.

Also it seems like the whole discussion about his passing, dribbling, speed etc went through without any response. Even though some mods took a part in it(check out page 6)

In general we agreed that he was a pretty good ground passer for a wing back so green spa is well deserved. Personally I wouldn't go higher than 77. On the other hand his lpa was considered overrated. Jurgens and I suggested 82.

Defense is definetely underrated. It puts him on the same level as Marcelo from the past(when he was really crap at defending). Mid-high 60s IMO.

Dribbling needs to be overdone. When he wanted to run really fast with the ball he was using classic "punt and run technique" which has very little to do with ds. But when he wanted to he presented pretty nice control on the ball. I have him on da:81 and ds:88 and it works great.

For speed everybody agreed that he wasn't that explosive, someones even suggested acc below orange zone. Honestly I would go with 90 but anyway 92 is too much.

Balance could go up a little too, maybe not 84 like I've done in my set but he was absolutely stronger than 81. Although most of wingers/sm's aren't strong higher balance nicely replicates how he dominated them in most physical confrontations.

I can't really see a reason for carlos to have that high. What he brought to the role was mainly his physical prowess and relentless aggression. There should be a big gap between him and alves, and even still a gap between him and cafu.

He should have higher def, but hes already better defender in game than marcelo with massive differnce in tw and response so we don't want to go up much, his defending defintly became better with age.

Btw, nobody seems to notice there is two sets for him.

His Response is yet to be updated. I think we had agreed an 80 value for his late set. Regarding his prime... mid greens at best, I wouldn't put him higher than 76/77. Even if he sometimes worked quite a bit defensively, he rarely left the sideline. Panucci was exactly the opposite, a very responsive SB.

Applied some tweaks. Still unsure about DEF and DA. Prime DEF could be a bit higher, there shouldn't be an extreme gap between prime and late sets, he didn't improve that much. Maybe the prime one could have 65. Regarding DA... well I still have some matches to watch, but so far ingame 79 doesn't look bad to replicate the things he mostly used to do.

And TW seems a bit too high in both sets really. I don't think positioning and coordination with the defensive line was ever one of his great strenghts.

Oh, regarding Acc... yeah 92 may be too much. Still gotta test lower numbers.

I agree with def 65 for prime set, ACC would look better at 89/90 IMO, as for TW mid-high greens would be fine, the same goes for Mentality IMO. His jump looks unnecessarily high, can't recall any jump moments of him though I'm a bit unsure. BTW who remembers this?:

It's one of those goals you wish was intentional but I've never quite been able to believe it. I think the celebration (or lack of) says it all really. Still incredible nonetheless. Just a query on the two sets. I've been wondering, if I was to have the Brazilian World Cup winning squad from 2002, which set would I use? I'm assuming the second set would be more appropriate it's just that the first set allegedly covers him from 1997-2002 which would include the World Cup.
