one thing i had in mind about couto was his jumping ability...when i remeber couto, before his tackles, where his goals and his celebrations (how will i forget his flip flop - or wahtever it's called- i the air?!! ).. and i saw one of his goal with porto...i swear it seemed just like bruno alves last week-end aggainst paços!!!! so i think his jumping could be higher...

ur right, he jumped very well and headed well too, not like BA of course (though he was a better header) but very good still... anyway, 88 is a very good number, but what numbers were u thinking of?

this is the goal i speak of...it happens on minute 1:50...
i was searching for some footige of domingos play, and stumbled into this!!!!! i since bruno alves has 90, but there a discoussion on rising his value, so F. couto could be at 90, but, i think it's only fair to raise couto's jump to 90 if B. Alves has it's own value raised, becouse Alves can jump higher, but, like you stated, and we can see in this goal, Couto's headers are much better!!!B. Alves usuallyuses the momentum gained in the jump to give power to the ball, in here we can see F Couto stand in the air and head the ball almost perfectly!!!

Bruno alves deserves more than 90 (obviously btw ), but i'm not really shure about Couto. I had a picture were he jumped really high, much better than the video u posted. But comparing him to Cristiano (jump 88/ header 85) i can't see how couto jumped higher really. So i'll keep his 88 and i'm even thinking of lowering his heading value just 1 point. Besides Pepe is at 83, and i would rate Pepe about the same as Couto in jump.

now that you have questioned if Aloísio should have the D Line *, i started questioning my self who should deserve it.. F Couto was the indisputes captain of our NT, a leader in and out of the pitch (i read somewhere a few days ago, that Couto was an example for other players, always arriving first to the gatherings when Portugal played [i probably read this when ronaldo didn't played the last fendly match becouse he was "sick"], always serving as an example for the other players, and in the pitch he was also the voice of comand for the hole team, that respected his leadership, and happened not only in the NT but also in the clubs where he played). since he was the voice of comand on the pitch, does he deserve the D line?? becouse that is more about eficiency right? how well a player can comand and correct his partners positioning...

I'm not shure were ur trying to get... well, he has it, do u think he doesn't deserve it? Think of Puyol, an undisputed captain that doesn't organizes his line like an old and experienced defender usually does. D-line is about the ability to push the defense line foward in the right moment and make ur partners in the defense line folow u.

I would lower BB to 84 as he was never overly strong, not even over average imo. Imo Alberto Rodriguez (Braga), Jardel (Benfica), Torsiglieri (Sporting), Gonzalo, Perea, none of them is weaker than Couto. And his header could come down a little too, just a couple points.

He was never this good in Barcelona and I fully agree with JMVP's suggestion from a year ago.

This set is excellent really, probably needs higher attack though, really good in the air. I'd say a 90 for header wouldn't be wrong, but it's not nessacary either. Lower balance is a good idea too.

Besides, it wouldn't be harsh if his AGI is downgraded. He wasn't as agile as Mihajlovic for me (and I can say this because both Couto and Mihajlovic played together at Lazio ;) ).
I'm not that expert in Classics, but I still wanted to put my two cents.

Excellent set my ass... I don't see him this responsive, at all. DEF & BB overrated, AGI could use a downgrade, TW is too high as well. On the other hand, he was a really good long passer, easily on mid yellows for both LPA and LPS.

I really disagree with you on everything with except long passing. Why does he need changes in anything else? Hes come out of his box all the time, hes nimble on his feet, and hes a good solid defender.

BB is overrated indeed, as for all the rest i don't understand your point. Agility is quite low already, if defense is overrated is just by a point imo, and yellows for long passing is just nonsense. i'm not against a small raise in passing stats, but never yellows.

Ok, forget my RES suggestion, dunno what I was thinking, too much vodka tonight maybe. Yeah, he was responsive, probably even more than this, I'll tell after the testing. My point about long passing still stands, I'll make a vid about him to show it. Still need to test him properly, will tell after that.

I agree with you about passing, it's something I was really suprised by, I don't agree with lowering his def, his sliding tackles where he ran out of box and lunged and people were so precise.

LPA around 82-83 I think, unsure about LPS... a plain 80 maybe? I had been a bit generous with my initial suggestion I think. Due to the poor quality I had mistaken one or two Aberlardo's long passes with Couto's, Abelardo was probably on a similar level if compared to Couto.

Thanks for that, thats the link you gave from roja right? I watched it a few weeks ago, I couldn't distinguish anyone on the pitch.. and I can't here when they say the players names either
I don't think we need to make any more changes other than lpa? Btw, can you give your final thoughts on sergio? Wanna get him updated.
