No way! He's been pretty poor for Madrid this year in his role as a DMF, although it's to be expected, he was a CMF and an AMF by trade in Germany and to have come to a different country and play a completely different game to what he's used to is ruining him, they're basically doing what they'd done to Thomas Gravesen and turning him into a cog in the midfield who runs and makes challenges, Lass is better in this position, and well, Khedira needs a lot of changes and I don't agree with Covering being one of them.

He's been sloppy in possession and he's far from nimble, which is why I've dropped his passing and agility.

I've dropped teamwork due to him not exactly playing too well in his first season and struggling at times and making bad decisions. Mentality was dropped due to him being caught out of position a lot due to the positional change, still a hard worker though. His stamina was dropped due to not covering the same amount of ground he has in previous years.

Aggression was dropped and so was his attak to make him more defensive minded, the raise in defence was a reason to do so aswell. Shooting was dropped because he was never that good.

Like that set a lot more than the current one. A few things though:
Surprised you dropped his STA, he's a very energetic player. I always personally thought his current STA was a bit too low so if he covered even more ground in the past, he would probably need a 89/90 back then as I'd give him a 88 now. Or am I off here..?

If that's the case, why not lower the DEF value you gave him?

And yeah, I wouldn't give him *Covering.

Comparing Sami to the types of midfielders in similar positions, Alonso (84), Xavi (88), Biscuits (87), I'd feel he'd sit a lot closer to Alonso who'd be more worthy of an 85 in my opinion, he'd sit a lot nicer as an 86, in between Busquets and Alonso in my opinion, if you see the amount of ground and movement by all its apparent that it'd be shaped well in that style. I think anyway.

I'd hardly consider 69 huge for a DMF, but he has good tackles, good marking ability, he can stray out of position though and I'd think with a lower mentality and a higher defence he'd portray the ability to defend while still making errors. Right?

No a 69 is definitely not a huge value for a DMF but it was just your reason for lowering his MENT which made me think that you should be looking at his DEF.

No, I know statistics aren't how stats are rated around here, just look at players like Ballack who've been rated as one of the fastest in the world at a previous world cup, or look at Charlie Adam who has a very average passing percentage and a high SPA on here. I meant as in the total ground covered in game, Xavi does cover more, he's box to box and makes constant late runs into the box for his team mates and rarely gets picked, you'd notice it more at the game but I guess a lot of perception is lost watching it on TV. But yeah, I agree that if a player sprints he gets tired quicker, but stamina is about the amount you can run and how well you can cope with going flat out, something which Sami can lack in when he does it quite a bit in games... But no, it wasn't based on stats, it was based on perception.

It could have been perceived that way I agree, but, you understand what I was getting at now and thats all that matters. Is there anything else you think could do with a fixing, these are just a 2 minute stat job of what I tihnk needs to be changed.

Also, is Kherida really that fast ? TS 81 ? really ? He has never shown such a speed to me. I dont see how this guy is just as fast as Alex Song of Arsenal. To me, Alex Song is much faster, yet both are rated at 81 for TS. Finally, I agree with his passing stats for now. Let's see how Kherida improves next season. Suggestions: TS 75 ; BB 80.

DEF is way too high imo, don't see how he deserves a green value. Neither his tackling or positioning is of such a high level imo. He's a 72 for me, 73 max and I think his current RES is fine. I'd bring down his ATT down more too. He hasn't shown any impressive (for a DM) attacking intelligence in his time at Real imo, 72/73 for me. LPA seems a bit high as well, not much of long passer and don't think he's this accurate. Personally I'd go for qwertyfinger's value.
