Tall and strong striker freshly transferred from the Dutch First Division low flight club Telstar. He isnt the best shooter or dribbler. But he know how to retain the ball (and to distribute to his team mates when he backs into a defender) and how to pass a man in the box, keep his head cool, before trying a shot. Always plays on the last defender.

A good set Fides...almost identical to the set I made of him two weeks ago. The only change I feel is needed is his stamina. Of the 37 games he started last season, he when the full 90+ in 33 of them. The four games he was substituted for he went out during the 70th, 81st, 85th, and 88th minute respectively. He has played the full 90+ thus far as well. Thus, I would suggest upping his stamina to at least 83.

In an interview earlier this season he said he couldnt quite cope with the 90 minutes in the Eredivisie yet, that why its this low.

He can say whatever he wants...but his performance last season and the five games he's started thus far this season say otherwise. ;)

Well the fact that he isnt subtituded can also mean that his competition for his spot is minmal (and for last season that the pace of the Eerste Divisie is that low that even with lower STA you can survive a full game).

I understand what you're saying and know that he had no competition for playing time at Telstar. It's not just the low number of substitutions, from that matches I've watched him in last season and this season he has rarely been completely gassed in the final 20 minutes. His performance is actually better in the 2nd half (a sign of good stamina) as he scored the majority of his goals between the 50'-80' minute mark last season. For what it's worth...his two goals this season where at the 86' and 90' minute mark.

I think this is a very good set...and as I mentioned before it was virtually identical to the one I created with the one exception being his stamina. At the least it's something to keep an eye on...

Might just be me though but isn't is easier as a forward to score once your direct opponents get tired at the end of the game? When you have the physical strength and decent technical ability he has, you will always be able to take advantage of that situation because the defenders you're facing are probably even weaker and completely gassed.

Buon compleanno, il pibe d'oro.

Yes, you are correct...unfortunately during the test games I've played the 79 stamina Plet is usually more fatigued than the defenders he's going against (particularly with accumulated fatigue in league modes).

I know it may seem like I'm nit-picking here, and I apologize for discussing this rather trivial detail to such lengths. I think Plet plays extremely realistically with these sets of stats...and we'll all have a better idea of his stamina level as his first season in the Eredivisie progresses.

His first season in the Eredivisie: 7 starts, 15 times subbed in: 7 goals and 3 assists in 815 minutes! Really impressive.

And again a good goal. Outside the box he is pretty much useless, but inside the box he is really effective and quite a kiler.

Good start of the season for him. Rather useless player outside the box but when he gets the ball in the 16m area he looks very sharp. Impressive strength, good placement of his shots (not so much power be he does not need it most of the time) good header. I would raise ATT to 80, AGG to 85 and RES to 81/82; his sharpness in front of the goal is one of his main strengths I feel. Personally I have his STA at 80 but that might just be a matter of opinion as the discussion above shows. For the rest this set of stats is still fine as it is. Very useful player at Eredivisie level who is able to score many goals due to his physique and sharp reactions in front of goal

I guess it would be useful to compare him to Dost. They are pretty similar players in terms of their on-field role.

Ladderwise he could go up 1 on ATT for me.

Hmm I cant really recall him beating opponent by swifty reactions or alertness? Most of the times he scores by decent positioning, physical presence and calm finishing right?
