Shame for Twente and the Eredivisie. I also doubt it's the right decision for him at such an young age.

Why not? It isnt like Benfica is an Italian club who promise young players El dorado and then just let you sit on the bench/stands. He is young and staying at Twente wouldnt be a bad choice. But this isnt an awful choice imo. Benfica payed a lot of money for him, im guessing. So he is going to make plenty of minutes. Playing in the CL. And playing at a more sucesful club with more prestidge, and lets not forget..making more money  .

Sad for the Dutch league, but a good transfer. Benfica is ofcourse a much bigger club then Twente. I think the transfer of Ruiz to Fulham was actually weirder.

You stole my words exactly, Ruiz to Fulham was a weirder transfer. Tbh Ruiz would fit much better at Benfica and Ola John the other way around.

They both don't fit with Fulham. Benfica is indeed a better choice than Fulham no doubt, but it's still a risky transfer I think. Staying at Twente for 1 or 2 years would be good for him. On the other hand, Twente has to look at the financial side as well. What will they receive for him?

Could you explain why you find it a risky transfer? Besides the fact that he is young. Im guessing 6-8M :|

Yeah I heard it's around 7.

Well at Twente he is guaranteed to play. I'm not sure what the situation is at Benfica. A player as young and talented as him shouldn't take the risk of ending up on the bench. It's not that uncommon. So I hope he made a thoughtful choice.

Its LPA could be easily yellow, 80.

His main position should be SMF, Benfica does not use tactics like 4x3x3 where players could play WF.
The only player who can escape to the rule is the Nolito...

I starting to really like this guy, old fashioned winger that always tries to deliver crosses instead of cutting inside like most wingers do nowadays. He's not super agile, nor very explosive either and his dribble is also very old fashioned with little trckery ... in fact his close control is nothing amazing either but his kind of moves always do the job, which is getting his marker out of the way in order to cross. Cardozo can benefit a lot from his play style.

You forgot to mention that he can cross with both feet, which is a big plus imo. Knowing that defenders have a hard time intercepting his crosses because he can deliver balls from every angel. I do have to say, that when defenders start to know his movements he becomes sort of more predictable. He had trouble with that sometimes in Holland. I believe we should raise his long passing, both his ACC and speed. What about LPA: 82 and LPS: 84?

Response: It is a little better than at the beginning of the season, is faster, more agile, not as "dead."
Defence Awareness: 2, On Benfica learned to defend (or trying), has generally helped to defend.

I agree with DEF/AWA at 2. Any more or anyone suggestions?

Yeah, good finish too. He was the top scorer of most of his youth leagues too when he was younger.

Is there a chance that he could have Run Around as a card?
I mean, I've seen him doing it to get past rivals.
