Re: Anthony Martial

Good set Winnie. There's not many players better in world football at the moment when taking on players in one v one situations, but I must say It was a bit frustrating to watch him last season, he tends to just stands and the sidelines waiting for the ball come to him and make no effort in terms of...

Ok consider it done :)
would be nice to have full updates of the 58 and 62 Brazil world cup squads eventually.

Re: Manchester City All Stars

Fair point, but I think thats's why the club era teams exist.. all of them were pretty important during a certain era but i wouldn't really consider them proper club legends apart from maybe Shaun Goater

Re: Nílton SANTOS | 1958-1962

I didn't see any really gap between there tackling and ability to disposes players. Like you said Djalma was more athletic and a tad more responsive, while N. Santos was maybe more tactically astute.. Maybe there should be a bigger gap between them in terms of teamwork?

Re: Manchester City All Stars

Yeah it was, but bit of shame that some of Electric Trigger's sets were deleted though. Some of his sets especially British players seemed fine bar a couple tweaks here and there. I think theres a good balance of today's present side and City's League winning/cup winners cup winning side from the 70...

Re: Manchester City All Stars

Ok yeah, post was like 9 years old so updated (maybe a case for Fernandinho or Barry not sure ) . Sadly some of the older players were lost in the great purge Including the great Colin Bell who I'll post up soon

Yeah makes sense.. also thinking about it I don't think he should have a higher defence value than Djalma Santos who was known to be the better defender out of the two..

Re: Nílton SANTOS | 1958-1962

OK made some tweaks, although he seemed fairly responsive dealing with loose balls coming out to meet wingers etc so don't quite agree with lowering response too much. Might be worth shortening the era as he looked far more quicker and agile in 58 compared to 62 which is obviously pretty understanda...

I'd like more discussion around the 99 attack before I update it as well ( Gerd Muller should still probably be the ladder leader here) but two superb posts and i'd like to see your thoughts regarding a 58 set as well . Keep it up :)

Re: Chris WADDLE | 1988-1991

Made some Tweaks. Some good points but some overrated imo . Waddle vs Ginola is a very apt comparison. Ginola was more of a showman and a flair player , he could take outrageous liberties with defenders and often made them look flatfooted, damn inconsistent though . Waddle was a much better all-roun...

Re: Jean-Pierre Papin | 1987-1992

Some good suggestions. I'm more inclined towards raising acceleration a couple points, his burst through the lines was his best trait rather than his speed over distance. Id say there's quite a gap between him and say aguero in terms of pure placement.. He tended to just lash the ball with his laces...

Re: Ole Gunnar Solskjær | 2001-2002

I like the suggestions but my preference is still to have shot accuracy higher than technique. Sure he liked to score from tight angles but he showed a great deal of placement when he got into those situations . A slightly higher ST and *1 touch pass should suffice for his volleying and such :)

Re: Stanley Matthews | 1946-48

Are we not rating DA based on close control anymore then? the ball seemed no more than 2 centimeters away from his foot at the worst of times. He wasn't at a 98 level but a I find 88 rating pretty bizarre. I feel the best way replicate his style of play of slowing down when facing up to a defender t...

Re: TOSTÃO | 1970

Great post! Comparing him to a modern day Spanish player is very apt,I see abit of David Silva in him. On second thought your right that lowering dribble speed in the way to go, his burst was decent when he needed to use it. Im still for lowering passing speeds though, I see it as more of an aesthet...

Re: TOSTÃO | 1970

Anymore suggestions? He seems overrated in terms of top speed, passing speed and shot power whilst balance could be higher. He had that stocky low centre of gravity style about him which let him bounce of players. Attack and Response seemed to just be taken straight from his Pes 06 set.. Not necessa...

Re: ZICO | 1979-1982

Yeah some good suggestions, his elegant 'classic number 10 style' could mask the fact that he had nice burst when he needed to go on some mazy runs and his short passing was an art form really. Updated :)

Really showed nice support... I think some of his off the ball runs when he looked to link up with other players was kinda decent, id put it at a xabi alonso/lampard level.
His DS and SPS were easily in the 60's though
