Re: Roberto Firmino

One of my arguments would be his playing style, as i wrote, i highly rate Firmino, one of my favourites, but i would not say he's physically orientated, he's more about stretching defences, running wide to clear the central areas for his teammates, or droping deep as a false 9 and doing a favour to...

Re: Lionel Messi

Now maybe I went too far suggesting orange value, but I strongly believe that 85 is an underrated value for him. Also taking a look at the ladder I see CR7 at 86, Benzema at 87. I don't see Messi as a worse to them in that aspect, quite the opposite. Or equal to Robben who also sits at 85. i've alw...

Re: Roberto Firmino

those are good examples, especially because it's well understood that godin is not that physical of a defender, so i was quite caught off guard to see that. however, i think godin defended very well without actually overpowering firmino; each time firmino was trying to make a touch while godin hung ...

Re: Joel Matip

That is pretty high and it'd give him a huge range, bigger than anyone else in the league. I honestly don't see it, but maybe I'm wrong. Is there any particular instance(s) that gave you such impressions? in the first 5 minutes of the liverpool match over the weekend i saw two such passes, passes a...

Re: Arjen Robben | 2004-2006 | 2009-2011 | 2012-2015

i remember that i watched some chelsea robben to try to review that set, and i gave it an update some time ago. at the time i was pretty sure i didn't see him as more than 87 acc. i recall that i quite clearly saw duff as the more explosive speedster out of the two, and more impressive in general sp...

Re: Joel Matip

he's really consistent in being able to put alot of weight into his ground passes, he's totally automatic at playing 25 yard passes through the midfield lines. my first impression somewhere at the beginning of the season was high yellows sps and i think he probably does deserve that. he doesn't cons...

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo

This set looks fine, though I think you guys were a bit harsh on his DS. I know that these days he hardly runs with the ball, but on rare occasions where he does run, it's beautiful and neat. I think a low yellow value would be better, especially because this is Ronaldo we are talking about. Plus I...

Re: Sebastian Giovinco, Toronto FC

95 fka seems fair no? he is outstanding for his fk's.. at least about 92/93 fka with 93 ish curl. i have nothing against 95 fka- it's been his marquee tool with tfc. i don't think giovinco is worth this da or ts/acc though. i don't think he's been a red tec either, though fine at about 92 technique....

Re: David Ospina

when he first arrived at arsenal, i was really impressed with his gks. he had some super showings, for nt and club. funny enough arsenal went years without a good enough gk and they finally picked up a decent one, and then got cech right away as well. the last 2 years i think he's just been graduall...

Re: Paul Scholes | 2002-2003 | 2008-2010

Just to touch again on how Scholes compares to Yaya again, there was this city goal from a few weeks ago against west brom, where the movement of the ball by city around the pitch was praised. What i was impressed by though was the constant support Yaya gave as he followed the ball and continuously ...

Re: New Goalkeeper Stats

i saw this when you posted it; i had been eager to see how the new gk stats work, but honestly i STILL can't decipher anything about how these stats are supposed to be rated from the default sets. The ratings are unbelievably inconsistent, and i can't find any patterns that indicate what qualities e...

Re: Joel Matip

maybe that just means bailly needs more bb rather than Matip less? i have no idea about the merits of that comparison though because i'm not that familiar with Bailly. as i said i've seen matip go up against several heavyweight players bb wise and he holds his own or can overpower them. Matip looks ...

Re: Tresor Lomana LUALUA | 2005-2008

i actually had quite similar impressions to you about agility and da. i think both are actually at least 90, but while i do see evidence of 92 da, i think his agility could be enough at 90. i think lomana's dribbling style is quite similar to aguero in his prime. however, i posted this set as a mino...

Re: Jordan Henderson

i think i did overestimate henderson's spa. i have seen really excellent passes from him over the last few seasons, but his consistency doesn't deserve above mid yellows. it was a good call to keep his spa as is while boosting sps- i guess sps is the decisive and dominant trait of his short passing....

Re: Cesc Fàbregas

short passing is cesc's signature, i wouldn't be surprised if he's declined into a horror show physically, but his defining ability is his short passing and his final pass- i don't think he'll have lost that already, and technical masters rarely ever lose any ability in their short passing- rather i...

Re: Ederson

i'm impressed with his short passing more than any of the other technical goalkeepers that i know... neuer, bravo, valdes, ter stegan, reina, vds, i think they're all easily behind ederson's spa and sps. i've noticed how comfortable he is passing into really challenging margins, passes all of the ab...

Re: Isco

i remember isco had 1 wff at some point, i see that value's been changed now, but i'll just say that that part of the major update he got was the only aspect i had significant questions about. i think i see why it was given, because stylistically, isco just uses his one foot when dribbling and turni...

i've seen these same passes your talking about- really ambitious long passes from quite some distance, usually with good lps. however, i also see that he misses these passes quite badly about as often as he is accurate, or close to accurate.

Re: Andrés Iniesta

i was half watching the atletico match on a stream last weekend, when i saw this unbelievable pass attempt by iniesta: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mywgWuDqDTQ&t=6m17s it didn't complete, but just to try that is unbelievable. maybe Andre Gomes checking his run was all that prevented the pass ...
