MAXI LÓPEZ | Maximiliano Gastón López
Name: Maximiliano Gastón López Club: Grêmio FBPA (on loan from FC Moscow)Number: –Position: CF* Nationality: Argentinian Age: 25 (April 3, 1984) Foot: Right Side: Both Length: 188 Weight: 81 Attack: 81Defence: 44 Balance: 84Stamina: 84Top Speed: 83Acceleration: 80Response: 80Agility: 79Dribble Accuracy: 79Dribble Speed: 82Short Pass Accuracy: 73 Short Pass Speed: 74 Long Pass Acc.: 71 Long Pass Speed: 72 Shot Accuracy: 79Shot Power: 83Shot Technique: 80Free Kick Accuracy: 68 Curving: 77Header: 83Jump: 83Technique: 79Aggression: 84Mentality: 85Keeper Skill: 50 Team Work: 77Injury Tolerance: BCondition/Fitness: 6 Weak Foot Accuracy: 5 Weak Foot Frequency: 4 Consistency: 5 CARDS:–SPECIAL ABILITIES:*Post Player Currently playing for Grêmio, Maxi López started his career in 1997 with River Plate. In 2005, FC Barcelona signed him for €6.2 million following an injury to Henrik Larsson. Although he scored on his European debut, against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, he was not a regular in the team. He left Barcelona for Mallorca for the 2006-2007 season, on a loan, where he did not live up to the expectations, scoring only 2 goals in 25 matches. On August 16, 2007, Maxi López signed for FC Moscow after a transfer fee of €2million was agreed with FC Barcelona. On February 13, 2009, Grêmio signed Maxi, on loan. At this time, Maxi scored 11 goals for Grêmio at Campeonato Brasileiro, being currently the second top scorer of the team, just behind Jonas. Attacking capabilitiesHis best attacking ability is his heading. Maxi is tall, pretty strong and also have a good jump, and due to this he can easily won against the defenders to score the header. His positioning sense and ability to bring forward the marker is also decent, though not anything special. His finishing skills aren’t bad too. He is certainly the less wastefull player of Grêmio. Pressing the opposing defendersMaxi is known for pressing the opposing defenders when they want to go forward with the ball. Maxi is also a very hard-working forwing, always running for all the pitch to help defense. Dribbling abilitiesMaxi tends to dribbling the defenders, with some sucess. He even scored a wonderfull goal this season using his dribbling skills, though its very situational. His good speed and balance help him to pass over the defenders much more than his dribbling ability, that isn’t anything special really, but pretty decent. If you want to compare it with someone, Kuyt is a great choice.

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
Scored his first goal.
Don't see enough to rate him, but I'd expect to see a better player than the stats show (since he is our most expensive player).
He looks a bit strong and fast guy with good technique and reasonable shot. Not bad, but not really anything special for what Gremio is paying for him.
PS: I don't think these stats are wrong. Contrary, they seen very fine from what I saw of him at his times in La Liga. I'm just expect he becomes again the same Maxi of River Plate times to justify his expensiveness.

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
He made a good game today. Like Maguss said, he's a tall and fast guy, with a bit of technique (although today he semeed a player with more DA than TEC).
Somethings that I'd like to say about his game today... He showed a really nice short pass, combined at a good POST PLAYER* game. He comes to the midfielder a lot of times to receive the ball and make 1-touches. Like I said before, his first touch semeed to be a bit irregular, but in overall, a not-impressive first touch. Maybe a better ATT and TS/ACC, but in the other hand, a less TEC, but is a case too see more games before any suggestion.

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
I'm agree with everything said so far. The only thing that hasn't been mentioned is his Mentality. He seems to be VERY hard working, and that will help with his tracking back. But *Post Player should be considered as well. I don't think his 1st touch sholud be just 1 point behind Souza & Adilson.

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
Well, here is mi explanation: In Copa Libertadores he make to header goals against San Martín, and the second one was really strong, I don't think that 79 represents "that" strong of that header.

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
you might be right...but it's not only strength...but largely accurate. What if he missed 20 easy ones before that(not saying he did)...but we can't tweak stats after every game or highlight. You see where I am coming from....it's not that I disagree...but it is just the way the arguement has been presented that makes me question the logic.

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
Ok dude, but I still thinking in that header on 81 i'ts fine. By the way in other topics the just did what you said. After a game the acuurate some stats of a player. But I think about that, waiting more game for look and apply for an update.

What about the speed? I remember a slow and bad Maxi Lopez in River...

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
As the other stats are totally outdated, I moved Maguss one's to first post and give the first post.

 Re: Maxi LÓPEZ
Seems that he improved a lot since his Barça and Mallorca times!! I'm surprised of it. 80 on SA was a crazy thing on his times on La Liga.

Also, you can't compare him with his times at Barça and Mallorca. Just take a look at my first post in this thread and the description I gave to him. He scored just 2 goals at Mallorca. He improved a lot here. He isn't just our best striker, but one of the best playing at Brazil (and we have Adriano, Ronaldo, Fred, Tardelli and others here).

Re: MAXI LÓPEZ | Maximiliano Gastón López
If this "Maxi Lopez" of PES Stats Database comes to reallity, other teams have no chance... but the Reallity is little bit diferent...
He as hardworker player, not else.
For me: Attack: 81 Defence: 40 Balance: 89 Stamina: 80 Top Speed: 70 Acceleration: 75 Response: 75 Agility: 72 Dribble Accuracy: 70 Dribble Speed: 78 Short Pass Accuracy: 71 Short Pass Speed: 69 Long Pass Acc.: 71 Long Pass Speed: 72 Shot Accuracy: 75 Shot Power: 83 Shot Technique: 76 Free Kick Accuracy: 58 Curving: 77 Header: 85 Jump: 86 Technique: 75 Aggression: 84 Mentality: 75 Keeper Skill: 50 Team Work: 80
Injury Tolerance: B Condition/Fitness: 5 Weak Foot Accuracy: 4 Weak Foot Frequency: 4 Consistency: 5
For a "CF" its a good stats, but nothing more... a little bit overrated...
