any thoughts on covering* or upping response? Remember this is 174cm SB filling at CB and not just on one occassion. There's work to be done here, folks. 71 defence alone is not enough.

I agree...its really hard because he is a SB, but is filling in well at CB. His reg position is still side back so we don't want him to be an unstopable force on the wing....but I think Res & *Cover should both be considered. I have their last game recorded, I'll have some suggestions to post

Man, this is another tough one. He look very comfortable defending...at CB. As a SB, he is very slow to react, and looks poor at times in space. But he at CB relies on his Defensive positioning and quickness. Not his Size(obviously) and Response. I think *Covering is a posibility, but I don't think raising his response is fair, because of how poorly he reacts at his registered position. Would I object to a raise in def.....I'm still not sure, that is a tough one. But then again, isn't Clichy a 75  :P

i didn't even think pisano was a good buy, as i don't really rate him as a left back.... but then again i was really suprised by his performances as a cb lately (aswell as u, Jmg). of course it's still too early to express a fair judgement, but i guess he deserves a try as a cb (maybe in a 3 men defensive line?).

I feel if we are rating him fairly on his play at SB I'm not sure he deserves higher than 70. I was acutally thinking 69(same level as Stankevicious. As a CB, his positioning is much better than Stankevicious....but I don't feel it is fair to factor that in.

Defence: 69
Balance: 79/80(balance might be better, he is pretty strong in his tackles despite his lack of size)
Response: 79/80
Aggression: 76(he isn't THAT aggressive)

Special Abilities:
*Covering

I must say I did like the look of him as a Left Sided CB in a CB3 formation vs. Samp. His ability when necessary to work up the left side, and deliver a much more quality ball than Rubin was able to was very nice. He generally looked solid in that role....but he was significantly exposed in his Defensive positions multiple times. Rivalta and Natali had to pick up the slack, and when they weren't able to...goals were scored. If he can improve his defense...he could be very good in that role. Currently he is much better fit for SB...and his def should probably be dropped to the suggested 69 IMO ;)

but what about the low response value? Surely with both there's no way he could play CB

He is quick, agile and has decent bal for his size. I'm more worried about how he plays LB...but with these values he will still be able to play CB in the game. Just likely won't auto-sort to it.

Welcome back to the Serie A. I wonder what position you'll play.
