I personally was loyal to pride, and then officially jumped over to UFC when they really steped up their shows. Still IMO Pride had better fights and cards than any UFC card to date.

Who are your top 5 favorite current fighters, men or women in any organization? That you would pay good money to go see fight. So just don't list sherdogs list of "BEST" fighters.
1. Mirko Cro Cop (past his prime, but there isn't a guy I look forward to seeing fight more)
2. Fedor Emelianenko (one of the few fighters who has been the best for a long time and is still the best)
3. Forrest Griffin (not because of skill, but because of heart...I will always route for this underdog)
4. B.J. Penn (ws a big name when I started watching, and has finally gotten back unto shape, and looks unbeatable at 155)
5. Diego Sanchez (whose next fight will be against Penn. I followed in awe at his skill on the reality series. And his intense attitude combined with his skill is something I've been following)

Honorable Mention:
Kazushi Sakuraba (was one of my favorites in Pride, but haven't seen him in YEARS)
Shinya Aoki (super talented, but again haven't seen him in a while)
Quinton Jackson (before he found god he had the funniest promos just talking trash in pride. His powerbomb on Arona is legendary, and he still has that great talent and propencity to entertain)
Anderson Silva (was not much in pride, but since coming to UFC he has proven to be considered one of the pound for pound best fighters in the world. In awe of his current form)
Urijah Faber (would be higher if his last 2 fights weren't losses. This california kid is AWESOME)

I think too much time has passed since this thread had begun, too bad nobody has posted anything else :(

My friend jmg721, I´m a big fan of martial arts, personally I train Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Kung Fu... I don´t know a lot about UFC or Pride, I know many fighters anyway, but I´m not a fan of those tournaments...
I´m really hooked on K-1, I watch the fights as I try to learn something from those superb warriors...

My favorite fighters are:
- Buakaw Por. Pramuk _tha
- "Iron" Mike Zambidis _gre
- The legendary Ramon Dekkers _ned
- Ruslan Karaev _rus
They are just a few of a big group of fighters I know, if you like K-1, you should give them a look, I recomend to you ;) So we can have a good discussion about Martial Arts.
Greetings friend, from _chi

Interesting and different. I like Rumble, and bummed he got injured and didn't fight vs. John Howard who looked like a beast vs Ninja Roberts.

My feelings have definitely changes since the last time I posted a Top 5. Give me a bit to think about it. But Jon "Bones" Jones has to crack my top 5, and little Nog.

Ah. That boy Jones is a champ. Just dominated Brandon Vera. Shocking really. I rated Vera.

Gutted that Rumble lost to Koscheck. I honestly thought that Rumble would put the handle on him. :D

Happy that Cheick went and handled the boy Buentello. Still pissed that he lost to Frank Mir. :(

EDIT: OH SNAP! Get stroked Mir!

Sorry mods, just want to bump this to get some discussion going about the upset of the year. Edgar over Penn via unanimous decision.

I wonder if there are any real chances of a match between Fedor Emelianenko v/s Brock Lesnar.
Too many rumours to this date, I hope the fight to happen when Brock returns, so Fedor will shut his big mouth ;)
