He's had a mixed first game, he looked like a white TW for most of it, but tbf he was played a little more forward than he's used to. He's also showed incredible strength. He brushed off everyone who took him on.

Well, the truth is this guy is doing really crap job in defence so far. Seems like it's really easy to dribble past him, he's always behind his player, just seems like a total mess so far. I am not his fan at all. His cheap foul on Nainggolan lead to Dzeko's second goal.

Much better today with Kanye back and fabregas as an attacker, clearly a B2B CMF

Interesting update, was more inline with how I felt of him at Monaco, but is his DA/tech really this good? I always saw his touch as heavy footed and awkward.

I feel the same, but I did not want to touch those values until I was a 100% sure.

Even at Monaco, his first touch was decent at best. Even his DA looked pretty average, he had some decent dribbling runs there and there but IMO most of his success regarding these came from his physical power.

There’s no way he should be much over Kanye technically, I’ve argued In favour of higher for him to no avail but seven allowing for the fact kante like yoda and bakas like Vader, there’s a difference between them. Also on separate note glad I didn’t touch fabregas passing now,

I was thinking the same, he certainly never gave me the impression that hes better than Kante techincally. Kante is limited technically, but hes much tidier and smarter within his limitations, not wasteful.

He looks utterly overwhelmed from what I've seen in a defensive role this season.
