Cristian Sapunaru is a very complete, yet incomplete player in his very own and unique way. He started out originally as CF who then got used as a CB just to be formed into a SB having the advantages of both worlds united in him. His positioning inside the box is that of a striker and he can defend like a CB. The problem is, that as SB he will often get exposed for his lack of speed and rather rash tackles that see him get booked quite often. He's nearly unbeatable in the air and wins most heading duels quite comfortably. It remains to be seen if he can fill the gap at Fc Porto and the Romanian NT but as he develops at Fc Porto after a rough beginning, one can only imagine what Sapunaru can do once he can confidentally roam in his territory.

I agree... considering the raise of many players responce it should be added too... he's a Porto player and was quality in Romania too...

ps: i know he's not the quickest but I don't know if he becomes much slower if he dribble with the ball

Hm, he's a bit clumsy at times but he's ok in his dribbles and usually doesn't speeds up with the ball but he can do it too.. maybe 75?

After taking another look at the ladder I think balance can be 83..

I agree... I think he's a tiny bid stronger than Rada... to me he always was between Rada and Marius Constantin strenght wise so its 83-84 to me

Balance should really be 84.. he does seem much stronger now and he is on pair with guys like Suazo there.

something makes me wonder... how good is he WHEN he actually advances? I actually do believe that in his Liga1 times he probably warranted a higher attack stat... keep in mind that his aggression rate will still not make him come up often enough to display his dangerous side upfront
