notes vs roma:
LWB Llama - a couple dipping hard shots from distance/spow 83+/good SA/looks good on ball/takes CKs/more known for his curling crosses/not strong/more attack minded/

*LMF - good touch/good dribbling run through, past & around players/quality DS/not slow/"skillfull on ball"/got injured/

Hasn't played 70min since June 07. I'll keep an eye out...but it's possible he could use +(1 to 3) point tweaks in most areas.

His CUR could go up some amount... his crosses looked like an 83ish...

So with his Curling at 83 that means his passing relies more on curling than speed or accuracy. I'm not convinced of that. Maybe 81?

I did say that only because CUR is easier to see than LPA and LPS... and with 2-3 crosses I've seen yesterday they all were around that value :) CUR is pretty much an absolute value like TS, so I don't think it should be seen so much in relation to other stats... maybe the opposite, the other stats should be seen in relation to CUR.

I disagree with that Davide. I think Curling is the value to that can really assist a Long Pass, and Free Kick. Because think about it, watching one shot(lets say be dwayne de rosario) one could say he deserves a 95 in curling, because he can put sick ass curl on the ball. But then if he has a 84 FK, 95 curl, 88 shot power....he would be too effective on free kicks.

I definitely think curling is a dependent value and needs to be rated in comparison to LPA, LPS and/or FK Acc.

maybe i didn't explain well... i think, yes, that the actions a player makes depends on more stats, so following your example i do agree that the player is too dangerous with these stats (be aware that i do not know the player, i'm following your judgement which i find dependable)... but let's look at the stats taken: FKA, CUR, SP. SP is needed in shots too, so if the power is fine ladder-wise it doesn't have to move; CUR, same thing, crosses and shots use that and the number depends mostly of the amount of curl he can give to the ball... can't argue with a great swerving ball. But FKA is ONLY for freekicks! (well, goal kicks aren't considered relevant :P) so the decision is simple... give him the proper CUR and SP, and adjust FKA properly to make him dangerous the right amount from freekicks.

Even though i don't think that CUR is THAT relevant in a freekick... it is, but FKA is the prime stat there. I think that a 99 FKA 1 CUR is very dangerous on set pieces :)

You shouldn't because I just made up rough values for SP & FK...i didn't check. :P

But you do make a point with FKACC being a good value to alter. But I'll give a different example of why some time comparative stats making is better than ladder.

If a player....lets call him player A(CF). He relies more on SA and ST than SP. Now right now we have this player on a ladder at an 83. But we don't feel he should be 84+ in both ST & SA. Now it is possible that he had one very hard kick, and was rated at an 83 Shot Power, but for him to play similar to his actual self....maybe he needs to be dropped to 81SP, so he can be an 82SA & 82ST.

I personally don't feel there are many stats that should be valued without considering other values. Even Jump...need to look at its relationship to header(and maybe Bal), as to not make them too effective in the air. So I feel his current curling isn't poorly rated in comparison to his high LPS & same 79 LPA value. But if you could convince me that he relies more/or as much on his curling as his LPS, then maybe I could consider lowering LPS by a point or 2, and then raising curling 2 or 3. But I don't want his long passing to be more effective than he is ;)

He now takes lot of free kicks from a quite wide area....side,long ones,ecc....both as crosses and as shots they seem decently done imo....Apart of ST and SA and SP,as pure FKA i could see him some points higher. Like 77-78.

76: Cesare BOVO, John Arne RIISE, Giovanni PASQUALE, Sergio VOLPI, Daniele CONTI, Fernando TISSONE, MOZART, Vladimir KOMAN, Mauro CAMORANESI, Hasan SALIHAMIDŽIC, Mario SANTANA, Pasquale FOGGIA, Stevan JOVETIC, Alexandre PATO, Antonio DI NATALE, NENÉ, Samuel ETO'O, Vincenzo IAQUINTA, Emanuele CALAIÒ

I honestly never seen a Pato free kick, neither an undirect one...but probably the value was a reasoned one.

what about AM position and an update in stamina? with 78 it's hard to play 90 minutes...
